Actually that number seems about right. Average cost of a slave in 1850 was 400. If we just have families back the cost of their ancestors with an interest of a meager 5%. On 400 for 150 years is 712,000. There were 3.2 million slaves. Multiply those numbers and you have 2.3 trillion dollars. I know this isn't going to happen but it's certainly reasonable (from a stand point of fairness.. not from a standpoint of of paying for it.)Quote:

Sure, and the state of Africa is not slavery related either. It is more related to colonization and the carving up the continent in such a manner to have the best interest of Europe in mind, which more often than not coincided with the worst interest of Africa in mind.Quote:
