To be honest, my life hasn't changed all that much with all these "rights violations." Other than the inconvenience getting into airports, stadiums, arenas and theme parks (soon to be followed by shopping malls, movie theaters and restaurants) what's the big deal?

I get a kick out of how outraged people get when something they throw out into the electronic world via emails is looked at by the government. You're putting it out there for all to see. If you're so concerned about mail privacy, send it thru the postoffice.

Seriously, you have to be stupid to put something out on or through the internet that you don't want someone else to see. I love it when people are "shocked" when their spicy photos show up. As if this was unexpected.

And why is it so cool when some hacker breaks into a corporate system and gets out info you like to read. The latest secret movie feed, who is the next Bond girl, the secret photos of the next automobile rendition. Or when they publish confidential info on someone you don't like. Then it seems to be OK.

What if government surveillance could have prevented a mass shooting but exposed some other personal info or emails. Is this OK?

What if some geek could tap into the IRS and get Trump's tax return for the last 10 years? Is that OK. Rachel Maddow came up with some tax stuff on Trump and went into an orgasmic state. I don't think she's recovered yet.

One guy in Tampa some years back was outraged the the library card system went fully digital. He didn't want the government knowing what he was reading. He started going to the library and reading there without taking books out. He got 'em good. (Must have forgot about the cameras there. Or maybe he wears a disguise. I dunno.)

Granted, there are several gray areas here. However, given the times we live in way too many people are hitting the panic button. If reading my emails prevent another Timothy Mcveigh or some Muslim whacko…ready away.

If you're so concerned about this, toss out your iPhone and computer.

I've talked to my mom and dad about it. Most of their friends and acquaintances are boomers. But unlike alot of their peers they understand how lucky they were to be able to afford a big ****ing house in the suburbs with one parent working and only a BS degree. My dad understands how ****ing lucky he is to have retired with two pensions, one from a fat state contract. They understand how much harder it is for their kids and how much harder it will be for their grandkids. They understand that the rampant economic growth came with a price for the environment and the future financial stability of those who came after. I will be sad when they die. But I will not be sad when the boomers go bust to dust.

Seriously just stop and think about how much less likely it is to own good property on ONE income today than 50 years ago. Can you at least recognize that? I know I am probably wasting my time... but seriously... just meditate on that one. Was it just because of how you pulled on your bootstraps? Or could there be something to do with the time you lived?

Sure I can. And I recognize all of it and have so for years. I planned accordingly.

I have two kids and would have liked more…my financial situation (due to the times) didn't allow for that so I planned accordingly and stopped at too. (By the way, not having kids [meaning the avoidance of creating a baby] is really easy.)

I have a relatively simple house. I'd like to have a better house (and I could get one easily since the banks just toss out money) but it would be a financial strain. So I planned accordingly. I have friends that licve paycheck to paycheck and if they lose their job, they lose therir fabo home.

I have one personal car. (Another one thru a business). I could get a Mercedes, Beemer, Caddie since car companies pretty much loan money to everyone. My car is affordable and paid for. So I planned accordingly there too. I know people that have overbought and been repo-ed.

I see to it that may kids are moving in the right direction. Help out when necessary. One is OK. The other has a way to go but I am not worried. So I planned accordingly there too.

This year I took the first two week vacation I ever took. usually it is a few drive to 4 day weekends. I could take the European or Asian tours and put it on the old credit (current balance zero) but I can't afford it so I plan accordingly.

A year or so ago when McDonalds employees in NYC struck for $15 minimum wage they interviewed one girl…single mom, sitting in her apartment with her boyfriend who is playing a video game on a big screen (bigger than any TV I have). She didn't seem to plan accordingly.

Is it tough getting by today??? You bet it is. It would help if some of these idiots planned a little better.

I've been around a long time. Long enough to know that the single most expensive thing I have ever done is have children. (Not comokaining.) The expense is seemingly endless. The baby boomers, that many of you are in such a hurry to have us croak, seem to have understood that. The millennials not so much. Hey, don't tell anyone what they can do with their bodies. The boomers were also a little more willing to do the plumbing, electrical, carpentry etc. jobs where you actually got dirty and sweated a little. The millennials, not so much. nThey think a cool job is one where you can where a T-shirt to work.

No generation has a corner on "how tough it is out there." Maybe it helps a bit to evaluate "what's out there" and adjust your thinking and actions.

Really no reason to project your personal problems on me. My mom lives on my property and I sign both of my parents paychecks. I don’t expect to get, get, get.

Also, I wear a t-shirt to work and id be more than happy to have you give a hand someday so I could drag your ***. I’ll even pay you a living wage to do it.
