When this entire Florida thing started in 2020 Florida was 28th in deaths per Capita, then DeSantis said he wasn’t gonna do anything to combat Covid and they and they went to top 10 most deaths per Capita before settling now at 15th.
Back then you guys argued Florida had done just as well handling Covid and that the numbers were similar, a claim that is downright laughable today. California is 36th in deaths per Capita and has done the best of any high population state.
Point is: the Covid mitigation measures worked, they always have. You think because cases are skyrocjeting all the same everything was equal, it wasn’t. States like Alabama and Mississippi who did nothing are top 5 in Covid deaths per Capita, while states who took sensible measures like Oregon and Washington are in the 40’s.
The difference has been thousands of lives saved. But they never seem to count with you. You act like because we’re all here today it was exactly the same for every state, but it wasn’t. Americans died who didn’t have to because of your stubbornness to fight the culture war and not do anything about Covid.
