Sounds to me like the collegiate institutions need to be addressed, and not forgiving people's stupidity.

Why is it sometimes ok to bail out financial institutions and large corporations and have that money often go right into the pockets of people who are already financially stable but it is always morally unacceptable to bail out people who are not financially stable?

Go back and re-read if you have the time.
I know nothing about here before she was elected. From what she has shown me since she has been in Congress she seem pretty dumb. She seems to lack the knowledge as to how society and the government actually works. And she has plenty of company. The difference between AOC and others like her is the publicity she gets and she revels in. There are a lot of sensible people out there that have AOC and her stupid ideas thrown in their our on a regular basis.
Rent forgiveness……the rent on my office is very high at my current sales volume due to Covid, yet I find a way to pay it (my landlord hasn't offered a dime in relief during the crisis) as I go on losing money. So her spiel about rent relief is laughable to me.
Student loans……I paid them. Do I get a refund??? How much do professors make??? Are they going to take a pay cut??? (3 puerile QMs)
Credit cards……In these times I don't charge things I can do without. I've been to a restaurant twice since February. Used to eat out 2-4 times a month
You do without. I can't remember the last time I paid credit card interest, either personal or business. I don't buy what I cannot afford to pay at the end of the month.
I know it's easier for some than others but many just don't want to do without. Video games, iPhones, sneakers etc. are all still flying off the shelves. People are having outside meals delivered like you wouldn't believe. And we'll all wait for the government or some other help to come along.
Maybe because these organizations provide jobs to others so that they can keep working.
And I'm not sure it isa a cut and dry as you make it sound. I'm not sure how much goes to "right into the pockets of people who are already financially stable," but i would be in favor of bailouts with strings attached as to where the $$$ goes and how it gets there as well as freezes on executive compensation. As well as other stribgs along those lines.
Imagine if we used this ridiculous logic in other areas.
Can’t give protections to all the workers to prevent black lung! What about all the people who already got it.
Can’t put money towards curing cancer! What about all the people who were already able to go into remission without a cure!
See how damned stupid this line of thinking is? Can’t help current or future people because some already were able to handle it.
True.
So do cartels, gangs, black marketeers, organized crime.
What you favor is immaterial.
What you condone, by virtue of your vote among other things perhaps, is what matters.
My guess is that you condone corporate and personal malfeasance on a massive scale — and there is no doubt you do if you voted for Trump (unlike you, however, who seems to have direct insight into people’s inner lives — Ocasio-Cortez’s for sure — I can only reasonably surmise how you may have voted).
If all these wealthy people and corporations provide jobs how come we’ve lost millions of jobs during this pandemic yet their net worths have nearly doubled?
Something is not adding up if this is supposed to trickle down.
No. I’m am open to the idea of things like loan forgiveness and increased free access to education even though I have paid for school and repaid student loans.
Thinking the idea is not viable is reasonable squawking bc it came along to late for you to personally benefit from is selfish

I would have no problem with student loan forgiveness if the person does 5 years of public service -- military, peace corps, state jobs. If they want something from the government, they need to give something of value to the government.
