I did not have enough information on interns when I first said what I said. I thought the point of an intern was to get work experience rather than being paid.

My point was just general, not directed at you, about how interns SHOULD be paid. I think its a generally simply a means of cheap labor with a title slapped on it to justify it. Like I said, interns often do things you wouldn't want done for free labor, with the stakes so high.

that is why the company/business would like it, free labor. the company/business would get that, while the intern would get valuable experience to put on a resume to get their next job. companies/businesses like it when candidates have experience, but how does one get the experience to start with if nobody wants to hire someone without experience. intern.
