The Bible doesn’t comment on your dorkyness.

I agree that it’s not anyone’s business but their own. That’s where most get me wrong here. I don’t actually care what anyone does in the lifestyle they’ve chosen, but I still choose to believe in what the Bible says. So when people here say I’m a POS, homophobic, transphobic, etc., I just shrug it off and sometimes snicker at it because it isn’t that I care what others do, I just acknowledge what I believe is the truth. I didn’t write the book.
The tide is, of course, turning out of that favor and that’s in Biblical prophecy. But from a Christian perspective, those people will still face judgment and the law they will be judged on is the law that God put in place. It’s a truth that even a lot of Christians don’t want to believe.
I had a friend who died by self-inflicted gunshot. We were at one time very close, but had not spoken much for a few years prior to his passing. There were occasions that we discussed our beliefs and unless his changed in that time that we did not have contact with each other, he died an unbeliever and I won’t ever see him again. He wasn’t a bad person. Of course, I hope that he accepted Christ at some point before pulling the trigger, but I won’t find that out until my life is done. And that’s usually what people get wrong about Christians. I believe the Bible in its entirety, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not bothered by the thought of never seeing unbelievers again or that seemingly harmless people go to hell or that I believe those people deserve to be there. There will be a lot of people in hell that lived good, even generous lives. And that’s a hard truth for even the most faithful Christian to accept. But, that’s what the Bible says. I didn’t write it. I just believe it’s the reality we live in.
Hey look I went to Catholic school as a kid. I know the narrative well. Do I agree with it? No. Then again, I'm not 100% sold on the existence of God either. To each their own in that respect but this idea that anything that isn't heterosexuality or male and female gender is an abomination really disgusts me. It doesn't paint major religions in the best light either. That the only way to absolve yourself of those things is to completely reform something that most people have little to no control over. Are they all supposed to burn in hell? And the Bible may be God's word according to so many Christian sects but it was written by humans and humans are fallible, prejudiced, have their predispositions, etc. We also have to remember there are different iterations of the Bible that were translated into multiple languages. You also have the King James version of the bible which is different than its predecessors.
Mind you when parts of the old and new testament were written, hedonism and self indulgence were rampant. Orgies, pedophilia, homosexuality, were all part of the more affluent lifestyles. Was homosexuality a sin before or after it was written in the Old Testament?
