Or maybe they will say they are going to build a border wall with Canada and Canada will pay for it.

he is kinda right though. Cortez is all about making claims that she isn't going to be able to get done. Sounds easy to tell everyone "free everything", and "liveable wage", etc. For Cortez, she now needs to figure out a happy medium for all the smack talking she claims she wants done.
I mean, I want what she is selling, but I am also not stupid enough to think she can get it done. Not without a lot more money going in.
It's the perfect response for an insanely stupid post devoid of anything serious. She's not going anywhere soon and you know it.
This is not going to happen and we all know that. So why do you want me to respond?
But, assuming you actually think this is true  We're so far away from any of those things that you're absolutely insane if you think her platform won't be good enough for the left in two years. She is a darling of the left. She's not getting primaried from the left :laugh2:
Doesn't ever seem to concern you with Republicans who can't come through with anything.Quote:
That person will get elected by her stupid constituents. Then that winner will not deliver on any of it just like Ocasio-Cortez can't deliver on her promises.
Look, it's ambitious. She's the first to admit that. That's the whole damn point. Clearly you think spending trillions on wasteful wars, mass incarceration and tax cuts for billionaires is good, and that using that money instead to help out the left-behind low and middle class is bad. But for many, there is nothing unreasonable about that. The only reason it's unrealistic is because there are so many ghouls like you who utterly hate the idea of a government that cares about helping its own.
Oh, and everyone who voted for her is stupid. Great insight. I'm sorry I didn't comment in a more serious manner to this salient point you made.
I don't even understand this.Quote:
I guess a goofygrin might help too.
You happy now?
Yeah Cortez is like 12 years old and new to all of this. Her overly ambitious goals will settle down as she realizes how it all works.
And my point was that Trump did the same thing. People want to buy what the extreme politicians are selling. They want to believe that we are going to get something without paying for it.
In the house a rep is one of 435 Meaning to get anything done requires compromise, I'd vote for someone like Cortez (so long as they understand compromise) to drag that legislation left.
I would be unlikely to vote for someone like Cortez for president because that person needs to mediate and rep the whole country (Bernie is an exception... he knows how to play the game).
It is insanely hilarious to me that the ONLY people we criticize for ambitious and bold policy wants are the left.
"We're gonna build a wall and Mexico will pay for it!"
"We're gonna repeal Obamacare"
"We're going to balance the federal budget fairly quickly"
"We're going to remove all existing Syrian refugees"
"We're going to ban all Muslims entering the US"
"I would not be a president who took vacations"
"I get an amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress"
"I will impose a death penalty for all cop killers"
"I will appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary"
"A complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections"
"I will de-fund Planned Parenthood"
"I will declare China a currency manipulator"
"I’m under a routine audit and it'll be released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released."
But Jesus, god forbid candidates on the left run on increasing minimum wage, fixing our healthcare system and lessening the insane burden that colleges and loan companies put on people. You know, things that can actually help people out.
Y'all are a lost cause.
Watching all the conservatives get triggered by a young progressive female with a Spanish last name is awesome. Hopefully she comes out as a lesbian. Heads may explode!
