If I was talking out my ***, there would be more people questioning things I say and stepping up to support you.

Tell you what. I have no interest in continuing to argue with you because it's a waste of time, you think you're right anyway. It's Ash Wednesday, and in the spirit of Lent I will give up arguing with you from now through Easter. If you feel I'm breaking that promise, call me out on it. At the same time, I challenge you to not argue with anyone here for only 24 hours, a single day. I don't think you can, so prove me wrong.

I'll pass, thanks. You go ahead and do whatever you please though.

I don’t know much about lent, but aren’t you supposed to give up something you really like?

but no, I just said it because of the timing...it's not the something I'd give up from a spiritual standpoint
Giving up something for Lent is more of a Catholic thing anyway, which I'm not. I do sometimes give something up, but I keep what it is to myself. Catholics give up meat on Fridays, but allow themselves seafood for some reason. A more spiritual thing for me is to do some fasting.

So basically this was all circumstantial lip service to try to get me to back down along with you, "the guy who I only argue with because he NEVER backs down".

It's because that is exactly how the Lent tradition happened. Fishing was down in Italy and the Catholic Church came up with no meat, but allowed fish.
