How does Gaethje get to coach UF? He had a helluva debute but he was a combo away from getting put out.
Gaethje always seems like he is going to get put out lol. He has a bit of a following, former champ with a very fan favorite fighting style, he is a needle mover. TUF will be his push and a fight with Eddie gets him in to contention.Quote:

I agree with you. Eddie is such a weird fighter for me. He always seems to get rattled and comes right back around. Its like his chin is glass but his recovery is abnormally quick. Gaethje is just so aggressive and will keep firing, I dont think Eddie gets the chance to recover during this one.
Have you seen where Woodley is demanding White apologize to him? Ok I think White is a sleeze ball no doubt but at no point should he apologize to one of his employees. Woodley is loosing me as a fan not because of the crying because his feelings are hurt but because he set a record for least strikes. Maia didn't take the crown but you certainly didn't set yourself up for a payday fight. I honestly do not think that we will see Woodley do any headlining on a PPV. He maybe a co headline or maybe a free fight headline with a stacked card. It's going to be hard to market him and the rest of the card will have to carry him. I am sure that there are a ton of people that support him and I am not against that, I am just not excited to see him in another snoozer.

I agree with you but I am siding with Woodley here. As a promoter, you cant bury your fighters like that. Talk up the fact that Tyron stopped over 20 takedowns and fought with a bum shoulder. Has Tyron been a crybaby for the past year, oh yea and its getting annoying, but he has a point as well. I honestly hope Dana doesnt apologize and we get to hear this super secret Woodley has brewing. By the way, I didnt mind the Woodley/Maia fight at all but I can see the lack of action being unappealing.Quote:

Please no don't do it Chuck! In his last six fights that goes back 10 years he's 1-5 and has been finished in 4 of those. Please stay away from MMA unless your going to be ringside commentating. He hasn't fought in 7 years. Iceman is one of my all time favorite fighters because he had those hands and put people away.
Chucks comeback came up earlier this year I believe. He posted a picture after a sparing session and he was in really good shape so instantly people started screaming comeback. I think its a horrible idea and hope its just talk and nothing more.Quote:

Ferguson and Lee is not the most intelligent fight. Lee is doing it right all you need is beat a couple of bums and talk smack to move up in the UFC. What about Khabib?

Did you guys watch the ultimate fighter last night? Ok so I saw the last episode and the one before that. They were to two most lopsided wins the fighter that won was completely dominate in the match and good for them they trained well and showed up, but cmon the ladies that lost pretty much just didn't belong. That may be disrespectful , and I do not mean to be, but its what I thought of as a consumer watching this show.
I really am not a big fan of the show and if I do catch the show I usually wait until the end and just watch the fight. The interviews on FS1 are ok sometimes as well.

Mackenzie Dern will be fighting in Invicta FC against Kaline Medeiros on December 8th. If you havent heard of Dern, she is one of the top prospects in WMMA at only 24. She has one several gold medals in BJJ including The World Cup and ADCC.

Although he is not a well known fighter, the importance here is this could be the first UFC suspended fighter for blood doping under USADA testing.
This could be a gimme fight for Dern. Medieros last fought a year ago and it was a loss to Angela Hill. The same Angela Hill that is 2-4 in the UFC by the way. In irrelevant news, Dern is actually pretty hot so I can see why Invicta would want to hype her up.Quote:

Once again talking trash over actual rankings is coming to the top of the UFC. We talked about this in another thread that people are getting fights for their mouths not their work the example I used was Ferguson and Kevin Lee which Lee had no reason to be in the octagon with him (at this point) but ran his mouth into a fight where he was finished.
Seem like Perry is running his mouth some more and still wants Till in a fight. This article is good because even the author pretty much is hyping up this fight that would make no sense to Till at this point in a rankings perspective. It would give Till a name recognition fight to some fans but if Till wins and Perry loses the fight after it would be 3 straight losses for Perry and once again lose its luster. Trap fight for Till if it every happens. I would compare it to the Cerrone fight he beats a name fighter but only a name at this point.

So I think Till is on board as well. I havent read the whole article but I assume its where Till is at in the rankings and how dangerous he is. It seems fighters like him and Usman are essentially no win fights for anyone ranked ahead of em.
More often than not, UFC makes the fans people want to see. I was pulling for Perry to lose but because of that Till fight, I wanted him to win as well. Fans just want to watch exciting storylines. It's all entertainment at the end of the day. WWE is scripted as hell but millions continuously tune in. UFC is the same way; it's not scripted but it's damn exciting when these storylines happen. I felt that fight with Ferguson actually propelled Kevin Lee's status in the UFC. He's a damn great fighter who just needs to work on being more patient. I felt he was winning that fight up until it became obvious that he was just out of gas. That Perry vs Till fight will headline a UFC card and boost Till's status in the UFC. For sure, he could be the next big star. You guys should watch an interview he had with Ariel. Dude could talk his *** off.Quote:
