The NBA does not want this future superstar in a super small market like what it has gone through with Davis. And let’s not pretend the NBA does not rig its drafts. So I’m still holding out that we get Zion number one and Reddish at # 6.
However if we end up at 5 and 6, I’d go Reddish and BPA.... while I think we are turning the corner faster than anyone thought, with John and Tra looking like future AS, I don’t think we are good enough or far enough along to limit to any position of need. Hypothetically we land at 2 and Morant is on the board, do you pass him up? Is it a forgone conclusion you trade the pick? Do you think about trading Tra? IDK, I think you have to give all three serious consideration. And if you have to think about trading your best player in his rookie deal, you’re not at the point where you pass up talent, so you have to go BPA. That’s another reason why Cam appeals a lot for me, kid could play 3 possible positions. We may need that versatility sooner rather than later.
