Basically that would be a DS and a middle / late first for Westbrook, since milsap is a FA next year who won't stay in okc. I'm sure okc can get more for Westbrook than just DS and a non lottery pick.

But yea that would be an interesting deal, even though it might make us a worse team for the upcoming year. We'd have a huge hole at PF.
Love Schroder, but Westbrook on the Hawks, I would trade everybody.
I wonder if we will make a run at Maurice Harkless?
Okc needs to rebuild tho. A rebuilding team doesn't need someone like milsap. They'll want someone young with star potential, similar to what Minnesota got for love.
They can maybe work out a deal with the laker centered around Ingram. Maybe Ingram, Russell and a pick for Westbrook and maybe someone else on okc.
That's your opinion and I can dig it. But look around the NBA, more often than not stars are traded for a good young player (DS) and a package of picks (17'). And no one says they keep Sap, but it would be an option. They could flip him quickly like what Atl did with R. Wallace back in the day for more picks.
It's a risk for both teams. I'm only asking that you apply the same logic to Westbrook as you did for Sap.
As far as LA. Why would Westbrook consider resigning when Ingram and Russell are both gone?
Well not necessarily saying la should trade for him. Just using them as an example to show what kind of players I think okc would want. But I think they will probably try. If they get him this year, they'll be able to offer him 160 million plus next offseason. And with GS and cle building dynasties, it's not like Westbrook can go anywhere else and expect to compete for championships right away.
If you ask Westbrook where he wanted to go, Atl and BOS should rank high on his list. Trading him to a club with no chance of resigning him, wouldn't net the desired high return.
I agree with, although people seem to be overrating Bos imo.
Didn't know Faried was part of package offered from Denver for Sap. Would have love to have Al and DH while having Faried play off the bench. Now we not only lose Horford for nothing, looks like Sap will be next in line. He's won't be worth the crazy money he can get in next year's fa...
there was some debate about how much the Hawks offered and how much Horford demanded, but the gap between the two sides may have only been about $5MM in total.
Like I said, he wanted to leave. The cost of living and realestate is far less expensive in ATL.
Terrance Jones would be a very nice pick-up. A dynamic/game-changer on the wing, is definitely a need.
I don't think some realize the respect that DS has generated around the NBA. If you need to see it for yourself, just google what PHI offered and the Hawks turned down in trade. He's not just a fringe starter in the minds of most,.
