Ferry sped the process up. It was coming, but this way, he has the cap under control for the future and pieces that are valuable for later trades. Instead of having Joe, Josh, and Teague sink the ship.

But why not get something for the players that u loose s&t or something. Then you spend but on what then you draft players that u hope are good (projects) and the u neglect the most important positions that would help ur best player (horford playing center). I understand building but one player doesn't make the team. Lbj even needed help so u guys keep rooting for tanking realize at this pace we won't live to see it. I luv the hawks and have been there from the beginning and have watched the tank and this is we're we are right back. I just feel like if u get the right coach and system we would have been good we were in the same system for the last 7 or 8yrs (woody ld).
All we needed was a center and coach oh also gm
can y'all please drop this **** about Jennings and Ellis. Keep you eye on the prize http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJn74ufOx64
I love everything that happened this off season no Howard, see ya Josh, and a team centered around Horford. Teague saves us from a possible mistake and we are finally able to build a team instead of having one or two players! Great off season!

The Mavericks and Monta Ellis have reached an agreement that will land the free agent guard in Dallas, reports ESPN.com's Marc Stein. Ellis will receive a three-year deal that figures to be worth between $25-30MM overall, depending on how the Mavs' cap situation shakes out.
Bullet dodged.
Get Jennings on a 2 year deal. If Schroeder out performs him, we would have him on a short contract.
Teague doesn't sink the ship. Most NBA scribes agreed that the offer is right at his market value, and he hasn't entered his prime yet. If he returns and the Hawks miss the playoffs, he becomes a valuable trade asset... and the Hawks can draft someone like Marcus Smart to replace him, then can package Teague + Horford + Millsap or whomever else to get a real superstar. The Hawks best chance to get a marquee player is to trade for one like many other teams do, which means they shouldn't let their young assets walk away for nothing. If he just wants out, that's a different story.Quote:

So far. Nogueira looks pretty solid. Of course, needs more developing, but looks like he could make the roster at least. Dennis looks ok, would like to see more commandment of the offense, but hey, its the first game, they'll be fine
Don't we have 3 days to match Buck's offer to Teague, which makes tomorrow last day?
Daniels look like Big Ben with the Afro and headband.
