This is actually funny. We have had a playoff team the last 4-5 years that have done exactly that. We have been a laughing stock being in the middle of the pack and laid down for teams on national tv. Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and gang has done this. Why is rebuilding different for you?

I'm a steelers fan and i rode the bus with them for a long time, but i'll tell you one thing they played like they wanted to win and that is what breeds a champion playing with passion not super stars. Thats all i say at least try. I feel like to add ellis, mayo, bynum,evans, and horford would be a hell of a squad to put on the floor and compete it doesn't have to be DH but some ballers with that killer game like harden down in houston he is a baller or curry in GS he is a baller.

If you think rebuilding is going to make the Hawks a laughing stock and that we will lay down to teams on National TV, have you not watch the "great" Hawks winning teams of the past half decade? Come on now. I can't spend all day doing this.

The year we went 7 games with boston we didn't lay down that was some of the spunk i wanted to see from those guys and they gave it and people respected us for that.

Harden and Curry are not FREE AGENTS. So what is the problem again? You are wanting results in signing people, and success on the court but not examples of who we should sign to do such.

There hasn't been one example that is better than to rebuild yet. Not one (Dwight dream doesn't count, it is up to him).

That was the peak of the team as well. An 8th seed that fought turned into a 4-5th seed in a weak East where we barely beat teams to advance to the 2nd round where we would get swept.

I'm wanting a rebuild for Ferry and Bud's vision. You want instant success with a weak free agent class.

Well take out the Rondo thing because that will never happen, and sign and trades need both teams to agree on it. So we are talking free agents.

You believe we will sign Evans and he will be a back up? He will get about 10-12 mil a year from either Kings or New Orleans, no way that happens. Mayo at SF? Mayo, Ellis, Bynum and Evans is who you will pick up. Will that make us contenders to you?

Realistically, Bynum is most likely still hurt. Not wanting to try out for any team. Mayo is now just a offensive role player on a championship team (6th man, starter for a bad team). Ellis is a ball hog that will now have Mayo and Evans on his team as well? Yikes.

I would trade all of those players for a chance at Wiggins/Parker/Randle. No way do I want an Ellis/Mayo backcourt and believe that is any better than the teams we have had.

Let's do a poll for everybody here. Would you prefer having Ellis/Mayo/etc tied up in our cap space for the next 3-5 years while we make a 7th-8th seed or have a shot at potential superstars in the draft?

You also have to think that the Wiz could even be better than that Hawks line-up. Even the Cavs. Indy, Heat, Knicks, Nets, Bulls. We could even be over the cap and not make the playoffs at all.

I agree we cud go all out and spend every dime we have and not make the playoffs. I prefer rebuilding even over a Howard signing. We cud still keep our payroll flexible for next year and try and get a wiggins and a top FA and we could contend pretty quick

It's what I have been saying all along. Dwight Howard, if he doesn't come, you don't sign the 2nd and 3rd tier guys and build through the draft. If we sign them we are stuck. I believe Ferry is smart so he knows this as well.
