What do you have in mind SB75?
With BOS already having the number three pick in this draft, they may not be willing to give it up in a S&T. I think the Hawks would have a better shot at talking them into BOS 2016 #17 pick (or young player on BOS roster), the right to swap for their highest pick in 2017 & 2018 BK pick. It is a risk for the Hawks as they get nothing much now while making BOS a contender and who knows BK could become good again. However it may be a risk worth taking as BK doesn't look like they will be good anytime soon.
As far as JT.... I'd target Minn at 5, NO at 6, and Sac at 8. Ga native Brown has been mocked between 4 and 8, the Hawks have already interviewed him at the combine. I don't think they would waste the time or resources to do so ( they are only allowed to interview so many by NBA rules), if they where not thinking they could trade up for him.
Only problem I see with Boston's future picks is they will more likely be higher draft picks being they would become a better team with all picks of this year's draft with addition of Al. You agree?
I do like targeting the 5-8 picks with JT proposal even tho I think it would take more than just JT for that to happened. Maybe I wrong.
Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here when I say this, more than anything, I just hope we focused on rebuilding. Trade Al, Teague and Milsap. We would need to be patient to do this. Hoping one day we will finally have a star and build around him a solid staff
I don't think you understand the Al trade or maybe I didn't articulate it well enough. BOS owns BK's 2017 and 2018 picks as well, we would be targeting the more favorable for us between the BOS and BK picks in those trades.
As far as Jeff goes....... If you listen to scouts, they think the drop off in this draft is huge after the first two. While they regard Ben and the Duke kid highly, they don't hold the rest of this draft in high regard. Not to say that this draft won't have those who over achieve, but from a pure talent stand point the kid from Providence wouldn't be considered the top pg in most recent drafts. The teams I named already have Superstars or Superstars in the making, what they lack is a vet pg. on the known market after Conley Jr., JT is the best of the known available. That will drive up his price. It's always about who's desperate. Think AD wants to go into the season with a rookie pg? Cousins? Towns? Ok maybe Towns would be ok with it. Seriously doubt the other two.
Reports today say the Harks should watch out for Portland. Al is on the Blazzers FA watch list.
On another note about our pgs.....
With the 76ers landing number 2 and set to take one of the small forwards, what do they do about pg? It was said they made a serious play for DS at the deadline. If Embiid is healthy...... Could we get Nerlan and the 2018 pick they have from the Lakers, for JT or DS?

1. Philadelphia 76ers – Ben Simmons, F, LSU. The Brandon Ingram talk is fun, and maybe Simmons pulls an Eli Manning and demands a trade. But Simmons is potentially a 6-foot-10, 240 pound Scottie Pippen. Remember, Pippen didn’t have a 3-point shot for his first six seasons as a pro. They’ll have to trade one of the bigs for a point guard (Jeff Teague?).
Also read yesterday that JT has taken down all Hawks material on his IG page. I don't have him on IG, so maybe someone that follows him can check on that. If true that could be an indication he knows he's being traded.
Interesting....
I heard on the radio that a "rebuild" isn't going to happen. Thank God.
Guys, the Braves are going to be a bottom feeder for about 5-6 more years - at least. "Rebuilding" or getting rid of everybody with a pulse is always, always a dumb idea.
Houston did it and look at them. They are just now starting to be relevant again. It has taken them 5 years just to be able to talk about winning more games than they lose.
Why dump a 4 seed team and be the bottom dweller for at least 5-6 years? Stupid move. We are only one or two good players away from another East Finals. No way I want to give up the opportunity to get better and beat Lebron.
Just a question MIA..... Do you want the Hawks to stay mediocre for ever? Or do you have a solution? Please be realistic and consider the salary cap and CBA.
I read an artical today that said as the draft approaches we will hear the same names over and over again that the Hawks may draft. Don't get me wrong, I agree! However the one name that sticks out in my mind is J. Brown! .... Why would the Hawks interview him, when he's a lock to go in the top ten?
For those that don't know.... Every team has only a certain number of draft entry's they can interview and/or work out. Ijs
