You also have to consider Milsap make ask for a trade if Al leaves.

With Milsap getting older, I wouldn't mind Hawks trading him..
Trade Horford, Teague and Milsap for picks...rebuild and hope one day we will have a star...
Mia... If you keep everyone you don't have room under the cap to sign anyone else. It has nothing to do with cheap owners, the NBA has a salary cap. It is almost economically impossible to have 3 20+ million dollar players on one team. I understand you don't want to go through a rebuild, however with the cap at what is is and what we have, how do you do it without tearing it down? We've been to the play offs 9 straight years with no chance of winning it all. It's time to hit he reset button.
If you let Horford, Heinrich and Bazemore go you clear enough to sign Durant or Westbrook or some other superstar plus one decent player. I would look to trade Splitter, Teague and Korver to clear some more capspace or get a better player.
It can be done. Whatever they do I am NEVER in favor of a "reset."
I'm not sure you're understanding me and at this point I don't know how I can make my point any clearer. Guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Maybe we plan on moving up? Brown clearly won't be around in the 20's.
Reports today say Al is the Rockets number one FA target. I don't like the way we currently match up sign and trade wise.
They will probably just resign Horford, make no major moves and just be the same ole Hawks. Atlanta franchises will never win championships because they are content just to make money.
This will help make some noises around the league on Horford...
Man, I would trade Horford and Teague to Boston for their 3rd overall pick and 1st second rounder pick. That too much of Boston? Damn, they are stacked with picks. Having veteran presence in Horford and Teague with all the young guys would be a plus not to mention they can compete big next year...thoughts?
Hawks need to change. Period. Rebuild or we keep doing same thing while aging. I hope Bud would support this...
Having 3rd and 21st overall picks plus maybe trade all 3 second round picks (if we did this with Boston) and get another 1st rounder. You guys probably think I'm crazy...
Al would have to agree to a S&T so that would be after the draft. We wouldn't be able to control who they picked at #3. I'm not up on the new CBA, but under the old one, I don't think the team Signing and trading the player (Hawks) couldn't add additional players. So it would be Al to BOS for who they picked and what was needed to make it work money wise on Bostons end. Not throwing the idea out the window, just adding the facts to it. Also with the way Thomas played why would they want JT? Before the season, YES! But now that he's reached All-Star level it's hard to see Bos wanting JT.
Al in a S&T for who they pick at #3 is interesting and possible if they strike out on FA.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me. Bummer...
