In reading back a few pages of this thread (39-40-41-42), I'm not reading any hate for Nick. Perhaps quote and paste the hate here Ahoda. How far back did you read it?

You should read comments from multiple threads about him. Mainly JackB.

I recall past years when Jack was ripping Porcello pretty good.

Dont know about Jack bashing Porshit but that as probably me you're thinking of doing that. He was crap but seemed to have turned a corner and I was fairly impressed with him in spring training last year. This is his make or break season with the Tigers so if he actually improves to the talent he has then he is capable of being a #3.

Porcello has already "made it'. Worst case scenario is dropping back to the last rotation spot in 2015, if he's still a Tiger.

With the money he will get he isn't worthy of the #5 spot when we have Ray and Smyly making much less. He's either pitching like a #3 and earning his pay or he won't be here.

We do have a history (under Dombrowski) of overpaying players. :rolleyes:

Tigers won't put either in the pen, until later in the season, as their innings accumulate near maximum allowances. Both could be in our rotation next season.

Ray got knocked a little harder last time out. But he was using more of his secondary pitches.
