  1. This subject is going to go absolutely nuts, how about the NYS newspaper publishing the names and addresses of all holders of NY gun permits? It's like a google map and if you click on the pins, you get the name and address of the permit holder.

    Now that is insane.

I don't know who is more dangerous, a nut with a gun or a nut with a newspaper?

I don't think you deserved the moniker...

We have had our heated debates but this is just insane. Anytime someone calls me a left-winger, I know to write them off.

that's really interesting. I remember hearing about the story back in 2002.
  4. Sorry I haven't been a little more responsive. That was a good link on the auto engines, thanks as I'm a gear head.

Give me some real jobs with a real economy and I wouldn't give two ***** about unemployment benefits. Sorry for being salty.....

I figured out why conservatives tend to hate welfare more than liberals.

It looks like states run by conservatives tend to make far more overpayments than liberal states.

Stephen Colbert just made a great joke (since I don't think you watch his show I'm not worried about the spoiler.

He had a clip of Mitt Romney and his "running mate" and put up a picture of Mitt and Fox News' logo.

I haven't read the article yet, and may have to wait until tomorrow to do so, but I thought you would appreciate this article.

My favorite paragraph and quite frankly one I would like to see Obama "borrow":

These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power. Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow of this kind of power. In vain they seek to hide behind the flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the flag and the Constitution stand for. Now, as always, they stand for democracy, not tyranny; for freedom, not subjection; and against a dictatorship by mob rule and the over-privileged alike.
  9. It's pretty tough to be original, a lot of great things and ideas have been used already.

The speech is interesting though. If I only believed that those in power understood and lived it to that degree of sincerity.

My own drive to curtail what I want the goverment to do for me is born out of mistrust for politicians of all stripes.

Would it be wrong of me to tell Chuck that Reagan stole the rendezvous with destiny line from somewhere else.
