My understanding is that those permits are public knowledge but regardless of the legality it was a BS thing to do. There are some things that people shouldn't do even if they aren't illegal. I saw that there is action to make what they did illegal. I think the simpler way to do that would be to make certain parts of the permit not public knowledge. ZIP code can stay but certainly address and name should be private.
