Each user selects a team to act as the GM of said team. Over a few weeks, GMs make trades with each other to improve their teams. Then the Eastern Conference GMs rank the best teams in the West 1 through 10, and vice versa. Then playoff matchups get posted in the main forum and get voted on until we have a Finals winner.

It's really the simplest game of them all. If you're able to check the forum throughout the day, not necessarily be on for hours at a time, I think that would suffice. Some of us are able to stay on throughout the day and negotiate a ton more, but it's not really necessary outside of checking it every couple hours

the story was something that's been discussed both on ESPN this morning. I feel like it's relevant news. LeBron/the Heat/etc. have nothing to do with that thread. we already have enough threads that get derailed by that stuff...we don't need another.

the thread has gone to **** probably will get closed anyway.

and yes, we all know how problematic that OP can be. i removed his baitish comment in his OP

Did you read my comments about Rip signing? Don't think I'm hating, I like your team better now that you have Rip.

eh, not exactly with the payouts. What I had a major issue with the war funding was, Bush excluded it from his budgetary spending. And believe me, I was not the biggest fan of Bush. I voted for him, only because I didn't want Gore or Lurch there, but I always thought he was a liberal hiding behind abortion and religious values.
My biggest problem with Obama is he had free reign to push liberal bills down our throats for two years while publically discarding partisanship, and when the House finally turns to Republican, he has the audacity to whine and moan about them not going with the plan on the budget. Instead of coming up with anything real (his plan was shot down 90-0), he just sits back acting like a baby about everything, while spending, spending, spending. You can clearly see at this point this job is overwhelming for him, and he is not capable of doing it. Its like the analogy that I used in that thread. Blaming the problems of this country on Bush at this point, is like calling a plumber out to fix a small leak, and all of a sudden you come in to check how things are going, and the water is gushing all over the place. Plumber looks at you and says, "well, I want to fix it, don't really have a plan, but in reality, whomever started that small leak is at fault here".

    Just my 2 cents

only because I don't want to continue to go off topic in the NBA forum, but which party took control of the Congress during the last 2 years of Bush's tenure? And when did the economy start going to ****? I am not the biggest fan of Bush, but the "Obama inherited this mess" argument died the second Obama got into office and instead of doing anything about the economy collapsing, he went on a spending spree to pay back all those who put him in power, while calling it a "Stimulus Package". He has been spending ever since.
