In history if you could change a draft pick from a draft class so that your team could draft said player...what kind of career would they have had?

2003- just as an example Toronto Raptors pass up on Chris Bosh at #4 and instead draft D Wade; Dwyane Wade goes to the Raptors

But honestly, i'd change nothing. It all turned out pretty well for my Raps

Celtics have the Mavs pick Kawhi Leonard instead of Kelly Olynyk for them on the trade agreement.

2011 Celtics squad with Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal, but with Kawhi Leonard developing off the bench.

2006 Raptors at #1 draft LaMarcus Aldridge and pair him up with Bosh; you add size to that team plus with an emerging Aldridge and an All Star like Bosh plus a capable bench Toronto could have built on something

Rockets draft Kawhi a pick or two ahead of whichever Morris twin they screwed up on.

C.J. McCollum instead of Trey Burke. To trade up and do that is even worse. But we got Rudy in that draft so it all worked out but imagine getting Rudy and CJ in the same draft. That's the most blatant to me because they were back to back picks. It wasn't something like a Kawhi or Giannis where nobody had them in the range we were picking.

Woof, the Sixers history is kinda long.
2008 - Mo Speights picked 16, Roy Hibbert 1 pick later.
2009 - Jrue Holiday, wouldn't change
2010 - Evan Turner picked 2; Favors 3, DeMarcus Cousins 5, Gordon Hayward 9, Paul George 10
2011 - Nikola Vucevic picked 16, but Doug Collins just given up too soon
2012 - Maurice Harkless picked 15, Evan Fournier 20
2013.- Nerlens Noel 6, CJ McCollum 10; MCW 11, Giannis Antetokoumpo 15
2014 - KJ McDaniels 32, Joe Harris 33; Jerami Grant 39, Nikola Jokic 41
2015 - Jahlil Okafor 3, Kristaps Porzingis 4
2016 - Furkan Korkmaz 26, Pascal Siakam 27
2017 - Markelle Fultz 1, Jayson Tatum 3, De'Aaron Fox 5; Anzejs Pasecniks 25, Kyle Kuzma 27
2018 - Starting to et into too soon territory, but Zhaire Smith 16, Lonnie Walker 18, Kevin Huerter 19

Just looking at the 2013 - 16 drafts:
PG CJ McCollum
SG - Joe Harris
SF - Giannis Antetokoumpo
PF - Kristaps Pozingis
C - Joel Embiid
BENCH: Pascal Siakam, Nikola Jokic

Somewhere in an alternate universe that Sixers team is playing together.

For Minny which I like, the list is long unfortunately...

1999 - William Avery picked #14 => Ron Artest picked #16
2005 - Rashad McCants picked #14 => Danny Granger picked #17
2006 - Stick with Brandon Roy instead of trading him for freaking Randy Foye
2007 - Corey Brewer picked #7 => Joakim Noah picked #9
2008 - Made the right call imho, but Westbrook could have been picked too
2009 - this one hurts... Rubio and Flynn picked #5 and #6 => Curry and DeRozan picked #7 and #9
2010 - Wesley Johnson picked #4 => DMC picked #5, Hayward picked #9, PG picked #10
2011 - Derrick Williams picked #2 => Kemba picked #9, Klay picked #11
2013 - Trey Burke picked #9 (traded for #14 and #21) => CJ McCollum picked #10, Giannis picked #15
2014 - Made the right call, but Thibs traded him for one year and a half of Butler, nice...
2015 - Right call ofc
2016 - Kris Dunn picked #5 => Jamal Murray picked #7
2017 - Right call, but Thibs traded him for Butler...

Best drafting years were when Flip came back in 2013-2015, but then Thibs botched everything
Kinda hurts to be doing this tbqh :laugh2:

The Nets in 87 and 88 took Dennis Hopson instead of Scottie Pippen or Reggie Miller and Chris Morris instead of Mitch Richmond.

After drafting Pearl Washington in 86.

Good times.

For my Mavs
1984-Barkley over Perkins

1985-Malone over Schremph

2013-Giannis over Olynyk and Donnie Nelson wanted to freakin draft Giannis but Cuban said no and traded the pick to Boston to save cap space in hopes of landing a Big named FA 🤦🏽*♂️

Chambers

Love
Bosh

For me it would either be Westbrook or Booker.

Either of those players would excel in the HEAT system. Le-Con would have stayed with Miami also, because that would have gave him the best chance to keep winning titles.

& if Miami had Booker, Pat could have entice a Star level player to sign with the HEAT in free agency years ago. They wouldn't have needed to sign JJ, Waiters, KO...etc

Pretty sure Miami traded Beasley to Minnesota so they could have the cap space to sign all three of James, Bosh and Wade. So the above could not have happened. Or have I got that wrong?

Completely understand why we didn't do it, especially with his medical risks, but the bucks taking embiid over parker would have been phenomenal. Embiid and giannis would be an interesting pairing, especially with a GM smart enough to then surround the 2 of them with 3 shooters at all times and stagger their minutes to allow one to play at almost all times and only have them both together for like 10 minutes a game.

yeah both teams were stupid in that deal... Mavs passed on Giannis, then picked Olynyk over Giannis on behalf of the C's. I was so annoyed with Danny that day. :no:

Hindsight is 20/20
While those are obvious choices in a redraft now, not so much then.

You're Portland. You just drafted Clyde Drexler the year before, but you need a big man. Despite what people think now, even MJ didn't expect MJ to become MJ at the time. Hakeem was gone, next best big man was Bowie...**** happens.

Greg Oden vs Kevin Durant was also a toss up at the time and, again, the Blazers were more in need of a big man. Again, **** happens.
