ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Jonas Valanciunas will commit to a three-year, $45 million contract with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Valanciunas declined his player option for the 2019-20 season, which paved the way for a longer-term deal in Memphis. He was a double-double machine after his move from Toronto, averaging nearly 20/10 in his 19 games with the Grizz. They'll be healthier when the season starts, but Valanciunas will still be a big part of their offense moving forward.

Excellent value for MEM. I expected the AAV to be above 20 million.

I wanted the Sixers to make a run at him as a back up big to Embiid. Think the price tag was too high.

Superb deal for Grizzlies. Val is such a good guy too, he could have found a bigger deal somewhere I have no doubt.

He has limitations on defense, but he should do really well offensively.

Great for Memphis. With so many teams going small, he's going to punish people near nightly.
