I mean, this was all but signed for weeks now. I can practically guarantee every team in the market knew this was happening already.

Woj is also reporting that Nets are working on a sign and trade deal with teams for D'Angelo Russell.

Kuzma for Russell?

Lakers are the team most likely in that sign and trade deal with Nets.

He's likely signing outright with the Suns for the max. But if Lakers are willing to max him out, why not?

Why would Lakers give up Kuzma though? They can sign Russell outright?

Just to be able to keep his Bird rights they won't have to give up Kuzma, that's crazy!

Thought the Lakers were targeting Kawhi... if the S/T for Russell, they won't be able to get him... I'm guessing that it's their plan B?

Hopefully Kyrie finds happiness. It seems like the last 2 teams he left were pretty good basketball situations but he always ended up unhappy.

So who's the best bet to join him if this is true?

So at this point, we are waiting on KD, Kawhi and Butler in terms of the big names.

Butler will meet with the Heat and Rockets.

Yeah, he's still immature.

I realize IT didn't work out and neither did the other pieces, but I'm just happy we got Collin Sexton out of that deal with Boston (and ended up snagging Larry Nance Jr as well).

There's always chatter about LA. Because whenever the media includes LA in the story, 50% of Los Angeles clicks on it. There's chatter about LA on every single major free agent and tradeable player, every year, no matter how unfeasible it is. Same with the Knicks.

Even though this was greatly expected it starts the domino effect of free agency. Kyrie to Brooklyn clears the way for Kemba in Boston and forces D-Lo's exit from Brooklyn. The Nets will have another max slot and Horford will have be renounced by Boston. This will all effect what happens next. NBA is non stop drama and I love it.

Just when you thought the Nets were on the mend...

They're gonna regret this so bad.

Kudos to Marks for landing a huge name, but Kyrie's rep has taken a big hit after the Cavs/Celtics episode.

I guess how they see it is they would rather pay $32M for Kyrie than $27M for Russell. Makes sense when Nets were almost last in attendance last season with Russell as the lead star.

Kyrie is much better from a marketing perspective and also more talented.

Nets definitely got better with Kyrie over DLo but Kyrie proved that he doesn't play winning basketball as "the man" this post season. He'll need to adjust and actually try to play defence if the Nets want to make some noise.

I have a bad feeling that the Nets are going to regret this... Even if it does draw them Durant. Cause with their luck, Irving will continue to be a locker room cancer, and Durant won't ever be the same

I expect Kyrie to be better in BRK. In Boston there were too many others that were challenging Kyrie from a leader perspective. Boston has a team of high picks and max players. That comes with ego and rejection of someone like Kyrie speaking so condescendingly to you. I think BRKís players have a different background and will be a little more receptive to how Kyrie is.

Good luck to Brooklyn with Kyrie. They are going to need it.

Heíll be a good camper for the first 1.5 years of that deal. Then heíll have a mood swing.

Good move by the Nets and Kyrie. Hopefully the Nets can work a sign and trade with somebody so they donít have to renounce Dlo and lose him for nothing.
