Kawhi's daughter is enrolled in one of the top schools in Toronto. Obviously I can't say for certain, but my bet is he is staying in Toronto. The term may end up being the biggest question.

Yeah, I see Kawhi staying in Toronto and signing an 1/1 deal where he can bolt after next year if he needs/wants to. Why not try to defend your championship while the team can stay basically intact.

1. Kawhi-Re Signs with Raptors 2 years (3rd year option)
2. KD-Re Signs with Warriors 1 year (2nd year option)
3. Kyrie-Signs with Nets 2 years (3rd year option)
4. Kemba-Signs with Knicks 3 years (4th year option)
5. Butler-Acquired by Rockets via Sign and Trade
6. Klay-Re Signs with Warriors 5 years
7. Tobias Harris-Signs with Nets 3 years (4th year option)
8. Kris Middleton-Re Signs with Bucks 4 years (5th year option)
9. DeAngelo Russell-Signs with Clippers 4 years
10. Nikola Vucevic-Re Signs with Magic 5 years

I'm also going to include some other notable free agents
DeMarcus Cousins-Signs with Mavericks 2 years (3rd year team option)
Al Horford-Signs with Pacers 3 years (4th year team option)
Kristaps Porzingis-Re Signs with Mavericks 2 years (3rd year option)
Julius Randle-Signs with Knicks 4 years
Bojan Bogdonovic-Re Signs with Pacers 3 years (4th year option)
Danny Green-Re Signs with Raptors 2 years (3rd year team option)
JJ Redick-Signs with Lakers 2 years (3rd year team option)
Patrick Beverly-Signs with Lakers 2 years (3rd year option)
Nikola Mirotic-Signs with Lakers 3 years

Kawhi and Kyrie will almost certainly sign 2 year deals IMO because they will both hit 10 years service after the the 2021 season, making them eligible for the highest max possible. They will both look to cash in on 5 year max deals then. I believe KD will be back in Golden State because of his injury. It's the safest move for KD because, even though he could get a max deal, him missing most or all of next season would really put a damper on whatever team he joined. The fact that the Warriors lost also helps.

The Lakers will not be able to attract a max free agent, even if they can make the space, so they will instead put some pretty solid pieces around Lebron/AD/Kuzma. I think they could get Mirotic and Bev with their cap and sign Redick with the mid level. They could even get another piece if they can create a little bit more space. The Rockets will finally get Butler and go all in for next season with this group. I believe Butler will force his way there by threatening to sign with Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, or Nets if not traded. Philadelphia will accept a sign and trade to Houston rather than lose him in free agency. Harden/CP3/Butler will keep Houston formidable in a stacked Western Conference, and the addition of Butler may mitigate the potentially strained relationship between Harden and CP3. The Clippers will be disappointed they missed out on Kawhi, but Russell will be a great player for them. He developed into an All Star for Brooklyn and made the Lakers look like fools for picking Lonzo Ball over him. He'll be an All Star for the Clippers and make them even better than they were last year.

The duo of Kyrie/Harris isn't quite as good as KD/Kyrie, but it would be a massively successful free agency for Brooklyn and make them contenders in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn would join the Raptors and Bucks (who I think will mostly stand pat, re signing their own free agents) among the Eastern Conference elite. I believe the Celtics and 76ers are bound to take fairly large steps backwards. The Knicks will be back in the playoffs with the acquisitions of Kemba and Randle, plus RJ Barrett. I think the Indiana Pacers will be a lot better than people think next year.

Ultimately I think we will have four or five interesting teams in the East next year, but the West will remain the conference to watch. IMO we will probably have the returning Warriors looking to make their 6th consecutive Finals appearance. The Lebron/AD Lakers team with depth trying to build a legacy, a trio in Houston trying to do the same. Denver will remain one of the top teams as well and Portland isn't going anywhere. OKC, LAC, and San Antonio will all remain formidable and round out the playoffs in the West. Teams like the Jazz, Pelicans, Mavericks, or Kings might be knocking on the door for a playoff spot, but the West is simply too loaded for them to make it in.

With all the hoopla, only Kyries ends up leaving. If Lakers can muster the Cap, he will reunite with LeBron. If they can't BK.

Kyrie definitely going to LA. All the writing is on the wall, makes too much sense. Why would he goto Brooklyn now?

Knicks would be better off rebuildong and tooling around Barrett for a few years. that teams really isnt any better than the this years Nets.

I hope D'angelo Russell has more self respect than to resign with the team who gave up on them because they are unstable from ownership all the way down. If anything he should sign with the Bucks or Celtics.
