that's better than the "Biff" example before... But I guess there is a lot of posts that can prove it in my case...

Remember when I told you that Giannis will be scoring 40% of his 3pts after the All Star game? ...How can you forget?

how was I proved wrong? Dude can't shoot...he shot 32.5% from three the last 3 months of the season, and is shooting 34% in the playoffs from deep.

The last part of the season (after the All Star game) is 2 months... not three! He has been shooting 40% during this period and he is 35% (up to now) in the playoffs...

Funny because ESPN/Fox/BBR all have him at 31.5% after the all star break.

This isn't even accurate. I just checked his splits on ESPN, and he's shot 31.5% from the 3-point line post-All Star break. That's not good...

On topic, I think it's way, way too early to have these conversations. There are still far too many unanswered questions about what these teams will even look like in a few months after free agency. We have no clue where a lot of the top 20-25 players around the league will even be playing basketball.

Who's to say who goes where? I mean, it looks like this expects the Clippers to get two stars, but what if Kawhi stays here? What if he decides to go to New York/Brooklyn Instead? What if The Raptors make a big move to bring another star here? what if Kobe comes out of retirement and joins the Lakers?

Isn’t this kind of the point this early? Maybe a team like the Clippers goes off and gets an amazing team, maybe they strike out. Now’s the time to take a chance.

Odds are only predictions based on probabilities that develop through the information that is available through relationships with players managers, team executives and some ...risk.

Clearly in these odds there is a sense that the Clippers and the Knicks will add two All Stars each, Lakers will add an All Star next to Bron, the Raptors will keep or replace Kwahi with another All Star, and then that all Sixers, Bucks and the Nuggets will improve the roster further and the Nets will add a 2ndary All-Star...

IMO, the Clippers will add the two All-Stars, the Knicks will sign a leader and will have some roster upgrades added, but won't be able to contend, the Lakers are not a prime destination for All stars, the Nets will do much more than "just" add an all star and will contend, Kwahi won't be with the Raps for next season neither the Raps will be able to replace him with another All-Star, the Bucks will improve the roster further and will add a No2 behind Giannis, the Sixers will make another major addition and will improve their roster depth and the Nuggets will upgrade their roster...

OK?

Still seems really early to be having these conversations. Also, the odds will change dramatically after the first few weeks of free agency.

What's wrong with having a conversation on how the pros predict next season? If one disagrees (like I do with some of these odds) and proves right, it's a bonus to his views and credibility, isn't it?

I mean, I guess... but doesn't it make way more sense to have conversations like this after the season? We still have weeks of basketball left before the real free agent conversations begin—especially considering a lot of the free agents and teams targeting those free agents are still playing. Whether teams like Toronto, Milwaukee, Boston or Golden State end up making the finals or getting eliminated over the next few days could have some pretty big implications on decisions made by those players and teams.

What if Toronto wins the championship? What if Boston rebounds and ends up making the finals? What if the Warriors win another title, and Cousins comes back in time to have a huge impact in the Finals? So many things could happen that would impact those odds—that's why having those conversations this early is so pointless.

why? Those are just predictions that were published now... Later on in the season we'll have the opportunity to see where they fail and where they will succeed and also who in this forum has a better judgement than them...

Could be... but this is "part of the game" of having predictions... isn't it? For example, I predicted that the Raptors are overestimated, because I think they'll loose in the East finals and that Kwahi and Green won't resign...

But... it's only predictions! I guess If all the above would happen, I would prove wrong in predicting that the Raps won't make it to the finals and they'll change the odds in favor of the Raps with respect to the Bucks... With the Warriors, I think they are predicting that they will win the title and so believe I... But I think that KD will part with the team anyway...

I guess those odds are based on Kawhi not resigning with Toronto and NYK signing every free agent possible? Honestly, I could see the Raps still being better than the Knicks if they land KD and the Raps lose Kawhi.
