Midway through the season or maybe a little later on, I noticed several players wearing these headbands that look like Karate Kid or something a ninja turtle would wear.

Myles Turner had one on yesterday, and others earlier in the season. John Wall, Bradley Beal, Jarret Allen, etc.

Did the NBA change a rule or something? Is it part of some "cause" I haven't heard of yet?

Article there about it, but no real definitive reason behind them. Are players making a non-brand statement?

fashion trends. Players want to stand out a little, they look at what is legal and look for wiggle room. And a couple years ago Nike got the official contract and Nike's catalog includes tie back headbands.

That's all it took.

Iím waiting from them to light their arrows on fire and take out whomever John Rambo tells them to take out.
