Blazers at Nuggets is a pretty huge game for the 2-3-4 seeds. then there is a lot of teams that need to win their favored matchup

wow Grayson allen lighting it up right now 7-7 for 17 points. that has to be about equal to the amount of points the past two months.

Massive game between Nuggets and Blazers.

Man, Grayson Allen has been on fire the last couple games. That overrated *** Mitchell doing it again. And Gobert continuing to show why he isn't an All-Star :rolls eyes:

Donovan the last 40 games 26.5/4.8/4.5 on 45% fg and 41.6 from 3.

Gary Harris has to play better... He's had flashes earlier in the season of being an all-star caliber player, but he's way too inconsistent.

Add Barton to that. This is the worst Iíve seen these 2 play since they got regular minutes. It inevitably will be the reason Denver gets bounced in the first round. Beasley has slowed down too. Murray is playing better of late.

I got **** about him not being great because of efficiency. Dude is proving it again how he can carry an offense.

Kanter has played pretty well tonight. His ferocity on offensive rebounds is easily top 5 in the NBA. Nuggets aren't running enough pick and rolls to exploit him. As I type this Murray gets a very easy floater up.

People forget that he was in a walking boot for a while after the season and probably didn't get as much done in the offseason as he should have.

Every year I look at the draft for the players with that offensive rebounding skill, and the guys who are really good at it almost always have some other part of their game that makes them unplayable ... or they are drafted near the top of the draft.

yeah kanter can't defend the pick and roll, isn't a rim protector, and doesn't pass the ball. However his offensive game around the basket and offensive rebounding are ELITE skills that very few big men have. There is a reason the Jazz and Thunder gave up on him. I am curious if the Blazers play the Jazz which looks likely if they don't just pick and roll him off the floor.

HOLY CRAP. The clippers lost to the Lakers. that means one more Jazz win or OKC loss and the Jazz will lock down the 5th seed as their floor. Also means that the sixth spot is now WIDE open for OKC to take it and the Clippers fighting to keep it. their tiebreaker is so close, but right now I believe the Clippers have it.

big games left
4-7 Blazers @ Denver-if the Blazers lose again it means the Jazz control their destiny for the 4th seed
4-7 Clippers @ Warriors-Warriors looking to lock up the 1 seed and the Clippers fighting to not fall the 8th seed
4-9 Nuggets @ Jazz-Jazz might be fighting for the 4 seed. denver fighting to keep the 2 seed.
4-9 Houston @ OKC-Houston still fighting for the 2 seed OKC fighting for the sixth
4-10 Jazz @ Clippers-Clippers trying to hold onto the sixth spot-Jazz could be fighting for the 4th, but unlikely
4-10 OKC @ Milwaukee does Milwaukee even try with the #1 seed already locked up? probably not

I'm hoping the Nuggets split 1/2 at least. Their last game of the season is against the TWolves at home. So I'm not too concerned about that.

But if the Nuggets can just pick up a win vs. Blazers or Jazz, they should be able to secure that no.2 seed.

That horrible loss at home to the Wizards is really looming large now.

I could probably come up with about 5 of those for the Jazz.

if you guys lose to Portland that would make that game vs us basically meaningless for us because i can't see Portland losing the two other games. The Jazz might not play like it, but a win vs the Lakers on Sunday would guarantee us the 5 seed at worst. However if you win then the Jazz would really have something to play for. Kinda crazy how that works.

The Warriors have a winning record in the regular season against only the Jazz, Thunder, and Nuggets among the West playoff teams. This is going to be interesting.

Looks like the Clippers are going to end up with the 8th seed. Spurs look like they're getting 7th.

yeah that loss last night was so killer for the Clippers. It was looking like that game vs Jazz might be meaningless if the Blazers don't lose again or the Jazz lose a game. the tiebreakers between the 3 teams is pretty complicated, but basically the Spurs have the tiebreaker over both of them. the Clippers have the tiebreaker as long as the loss isn't by the Bucks for OKC. So I think its actually probable that OKC finishes 2-1, the Spurs finish 2-0, and the Clippers finish 1-1. meaning all 3 have the same record where the spurs win the sixth spot, the Clippers win the 7th spot and the Thunder end up 8th.(I think the tiebreaker is super complicated.
