View Full Version : Better 3D Player: Josh Hart or Dorian Finney-Smith

Before the 2019 season, I would have easily said Josh Hart. This year, call me crazy, I actually think Dorian Finney-Smith is the superior player. While Hart is a good defender, Finney-Smith is the more versatile and superior defender. His length allows him to guard 1-4 unlike Hart. This season, Hart regressed on the boards while Finney-Smith has improved noticeably. Both are meh when it comes to play-making. Hart's shot is way worse this season than his rookie season while Finney-Smith has incrementally improved his shot each season he has been in the league (though this season they both shoot it 33%). Overall, the clear edge is to Finney-Smith.

Am I crazy? Who do you think is the superior 3D player in the present and moving forward?

Josh Hart has been hurt most of this year and has been dealing with back and knee issues... Not really fair to compare him to other healthy players at this stage but moving forward his game will progress..

I rarely laugh out loud in these forums. Thanks for that. lol

I have a hard on for these types of players though. 3D and blue collar players. I know I know, they don't come close to Steph's 50 foot jump shots or my sexy man Luka's step-back 3. :( I was mad gay for Kawhi Leonard when he averaged less than 13 points per game. Him becoming what he is today makes me appreciate them.

Guys that shoot 33 percent from deep that are just solid defensively have their own thread.
