The Bucks are the best team in the East. Just got better. They are going to be a big problem for TOR/BOS/PHI

The spacing around giannis is ****ing sick. Prolly the best spacing around a singular star since.... idk. I don't even think Harden has this much freedom now.

Buckalis got his guy I see. Buckalis was a broken record for Mirotic all season. I missed out on this breaking news. I was busy browsing Amazon. Two for one. So we open a roster spot for a buyout as well. Nice.

Low cost to acquire Mirotic. If I were a Bucks fan, I'd be thrilled with this. As a Raptors fan, the past couple days have been rather concerning.

Did some of those picks come from Detroit? This explains why Pels traded Mirotic.

I don't understand the love for Mirotic. He is average at best. Good depth move, but that's about it. I feel like Philly improved more.

Bucks got two second round picks from the Wizards in previous trades. Eating Meeks was one pick that got better protection from a previous Bucks wizards trade of Dudley. Then flipping Dekker for Smith was the other. Then we got a Nuggets second round pick for the old Hibbert trade to Nuggets. Top 55 protected. But long as Nuggets keep winning its ours.

Pick Swaps

2019 — Owe first-rounder (4-16 range, top-eight protected in 2020, unprotected in 2021) to Phoenix Suns (Eric Bledsoe).
2019 — Owed second-rounder (top-55 protected) from Denver Nuggets (Roy Hibbert).
2019 — Owe second-rounder to Philadelphia 76ers (Jason Kidd, Marquis Teague) or Sacramento Kings, the higher pick between Milwaukee and Sacramento to Philadelphia, the Kings getting the lower.
2020 — Owed second-rounder from Washington Wizards (Jared Dudley, Jodie Meeks, Jason Smith).
2021 — Owed second-rounder from Washington Wizards (Trey Burke, Kyle Korver, George Hill).
2021 — Owe a protected (lottery protected in 2021, top-10 protected in 2022, conveys in 11-24 range in 2023, top-eight protected in 2024, otherwise converts to 2024 and 2025 second-rounders) first-rounder to the Cleveland Cavaliers (George Hill), two years following the Phoenix Suns obligation.
2021 — Owe second-rounder to the Cleveland Cavaliers (George Hill).

When healthy Mirotic off the bench can score in bunches. 20 or 30 points easily back with Bulls and Pelicans. Curious if this means we may trade Ersan or we just got more insurance to keep all fresh. Plus Wilson picked up his game this season. I thought he was a bust before this season. Plus Lopez been excellent for us raining threes. Bucks will just go with the hot hands most games now. We have the most depth in entire league. Plus one spot for buyout market for a ring chaser.

this move is def interesting. I love the player but its going to be hilarious watching him and lopez play together... they have insane spacing but his defense is a huge liability. Still a good get.

2nd round picks aren't nothing for sure, but it looks like 3 of the 4 picks they sent were basically acquired for cap space.

So at the end of the day, the bucks essentially turned Thon Maker, John Henson, delly, 1 1st and 1 2nd into George Hill and mirotic. They also freed up over $20 mill in cap space next off-season. For a team that fancies themselves a legit contender, they added 2 legit pieces for relatively little. And when youre amongst the favorites to at least win your conference, even marginal upgrades can be huge, but I'd consider this more than marginal.

The Bucks will send two Wizards second rounders that were acquired this year in taking on Jason Smith and Jodie Meeks‘ deals to offer cap relief to Washington.

The Bucks will also send a top-55 protected pick from Denver, which was acquired in exchange for Roy Hibbert in another deal built primarily around cap machinations playing out, and was never expected to convey prior to the Nuggets’ breakout success this season.

The only one of Milwaukee’s own second rounders set for New Orleans is their selection in the 2020 draft.

Raptors,76ers,Celtics writing off the Bucks. Yet we only dumped none used Maker and Smith for Mirotic which that dude can heat up and get 20 or 30 any night off the bench. While bucks stomped all of the east prior. Thanks for my time! Catch ya later! 76ers no bench. Celtics last year with a ****** coach Prunty we still feasted ya to game 7. Raptors meh. I bet Kawhi counting the days to hit the road. Embiid probably ready to be the next name to say he wants a trade. lmao

Who's writing them off? I think the Bucks are the favorites out East :laugh2:

The Raptors and 76ers will probably kill each other, and I feel Milwaukee could get past the Celtics and get some rest to deal with whoever gets by in the former series.

I agree the Raptors and 76ers would probably go the distance, but what makes you think the Bucks could beat the Celtics in four or five games?
