Hood had to agree to trade to Blazers, because he had signed a one-year qualifying offer with Cavs. He was enthusiastic enough about joining Portland to waive his Bird Rights. Blazers could still re-sign him using an exception this summer.

I like this move a lot for the Blazers. He’s a good player for them them to have off the bench.

Cleveland has turned Kyle Korver, Rodney Hood, George Hill and Sam Dekker into 7 draft selections (1 first and 6 2's).

I'm cool with it.

Alec Burks is next on the list.

We're gonna lotto this **** player by player until everybody is gone.

I know Hood is no McCollum but I wonder if he’s gonna be bait for an AD trade. Nurkic, McCollum, firsts, and obviously something else.

Was thinking something similar. Depends on what the Pels want to do.

hood can be so frustrating. A ton of talent but almost zero consistency.

I've never understood how Rodney Hood gets to shoot the ball as much as he does.

Also Jr. Smith could be moved. No way McCollum gets moved only if a Holiday comes back to.

The killer of so many players ... flash potential but don't deliver most of the time.

Hood is not the up and coming, fringe all star he once was with Utah. They gave up on him and for good reason. He does have talent but is the poster boy for super inconsistency. He put up a quiet 12ppg on the worst team in the league while “betting on myself.”

As a Cavs fan I’ll remember him most for refusing to come into an ECF game when Coach Lue asked him to. I hope he does well in Portland though I certainly wouldn’t count on it.

To up his trade value for a trade like this where Clevelands gets other assets and 2 second round picks.

Hood was pretty good with Utah, but hasn't been good at all in Cleveland. Maybe the change in scenery will help.
