35 and 11 in his third NBA start

Hawks' Trae Young w/ 35 points & 11 assists in win over Cavaliers. Since 2000, only two other rookies have posted 35P & 10: Stephen Curry & LeBron James.

Its amazing but what makes it more amazing is he did this against a top 8 playoff team out East... That is what the cavs were suppose to be without lebron right?

Trae Young has potential but enough to be Rookie of the Year...now that remains to be seen

Will be nothing more than just a solid backup PG. i.e. DJ augustin type of player. Once the hype is gone he’ll be done.

I'm still skeptical. He was the guy that screamed bust before the draft and I will need a far larger sample size to change my confidence level on this guy.

Haven't seen him play enough to have a great idea of him. I wasn't to impressed with his shot creation thou not buying into him being a Steff Curry yet. Also the Hawk are mess and will be giving loads of opportunity to put up numbers, that opportunity plus the preseason atmosphere a team that bad creates will lead to some big games regardless. Not selling but not buying yet

When's he's hot, he can light it up.

I think the way defenses played him in the 2nd half of college ball season last year is going to help him prepare for different looks in the nba.

He can shoot in a style of basketball that is all about shooting. The physicality of the game is overstated. More often than not, it's a foul on the defender and Trae goes to the FT line. I think he'll fit in just fine. No Steph Curry but he can get you 20 in his sleep for his career.
