Now with Chris Paul probably going to be suspended for the next 8-10 games likely, Carmelo has to step up in his absence. But he's looked horrible all of preseason and the first couple of regular season games. He seems lost and ineffective on both sides of the floor, he probably looks more confused in Houston than he did with OKC.

Thoughts?

CP3 is not going to be out 8-10 games. That's absurd. Also, calling Melo a bust after two games is insanely premature. Let's see how things are going after 15-20 games before we craft our opinions.

Melo was suspended for 15 games in 2011 for connecting on a punch in the Nuggets-Knicks brawl

I don't remember that, but you're referencing an incident from seven years ago. Based on recent precedent, he'll probably get 1-3 games. Zero chance he's suspended for 8-10 games.

Edit: Actually there was an ESPN article up this morning referencing that incident, and it was in 2006, so it was 12 years ago.

Melo is washed up and is playing almost like he's purposely trying to sabotage.

I thought all summer long the rockets would pursue a better fit at SF/PF like Ryno for DeMarre Carroll or Marvin Williams.

Instead they got a guy who doesn't fit offensively nor defensively.

Melo is career wise overrated. He hasnt been good for some time now.
Dude is a liability on defense, and inefficient offensively.
Yall and the media acting like he is gonna make the Rockets better in some way.

Itís two games, for ****ís sake. Iím more worried about Ennis right now but theyíre both vet minimum guys anyway. Hope they work out but if they donít, theyíre out quickly and cheaply.

2 games, ffs.

We can't have a new thread about players every time the Lakers play a game. It's 2 games, it's nothing.
