I think Towns signing means that Butler will be leaving the team before the season starts...

Too bad they rushed that Butler deal. I like Thibs but not for that team. They could have had

C- Karl Anthony Towns
PF- Lauri Markkanen
SF- Andrew Wiggins
SG- Zach Lavine
PG- Ricky Rubio
6th - Kriss Dunn

GREATNESS ONE

Itís possible to get it all back. If Wolves can get the right Trade. Then prob dump Thibs. Heís not the right coach for this team. I like some of the moves, but itís time to go.

Jimmy is a great piece. And if they can get enough teams to bid against themselves, They might be able to get some great of young pieces.

Boston and the Sixers would be great teams to do business with and get them bidding against each other. Jimmy would make either one the favorite in the east.

There's no way Jimmy B stays so Minny better get what they can. Doubtful they make much of an impact with all this drama.

Yup, the worst thing that could've happened would be that Towns was pissed off to the extent that he wanted off the team, despite them trying to trade the issue away.

That lineup sucks balls defensively and has no leader. Struggle for 8th like they did last year.

But sure, it's better off than losing a disgruntled star for a poor return. We'll need to see what they can get for Butler, but they can still end up better off.

so a 7-10 seed in the west each year... that team is garbage

Awesome we got this done.

If we get a decent return for Butler (it at least sounds like a few teams will put in offers so some competition) we aren't too bad off. I would really like us to move on from Thibs now, that would be the perfect combo to this signing.

Think that team is more down the road if those players live up to their potential post Warriors era. That team is incredibly young with the oldest being what 24?

mehÖ most of those guys already are what they will be Ö

again... not impressed at all with that roster in terms of competing for a chip... on top of that you have the top 2 guys on huge deals which won't leave a ton of cap moving forward.

just saying that core is better moving forward with in hindsight. Thibs isnít the right coach for that group , too early to right off players that young and that talented. Wolves better hope they get a decent return back , paying Wiggins was stupid heís shown known growth. KAT is a legit franchise talent tho

Anyway Iím happy the bulls made the trade and Iím happy we have Lauri

It's fantastic to have a bunch of 23 year olds make the 7th seed next year.

That's great if they contend for the 8th seed next year.

The fact that a young team could make the playoffs and have trade pieces who could fit their style of play when they are ready is a good situation to have. They could have made a Butler-esque deal when they were ready, as opposed to rushing into it last year.

what are you talking about? There is no guarantee that the wolves take markannen if they had the pick and would have already had to commit money to Zach... $75 million a year for Lavine/Kat/wiggins is *******.

The wolves are a trash organization and will prove it again despite one year of playoffs. contraction is the only solution for that franchise

Can we contract Vinylman.... lack of class is astounding. As a Wolves fan we understand we have struggled and the drama sucks. Continually being an ***hole is pretty much trash that you are pointing at others. Would hope you could do better but very much doubt it.

truth hurts Ö the wolves are a trash organization and the spinning by "some" fans in this forum is just laughable.

at least you will get to enjoy anonymity and irrelevance once again.

If Butler was healthy they would have been 5th or 6th. With another year of chemistry and development from the young guys the team this year could hypothetically finish 3rd or 4th if everything went perfect.

It's not necessarily a better place just because they are younger and good enough to fight for 8th-9th.

Yes but that can't happen because Butler demanded a trade when Butler didn't fit the Wolves organization.
