No place for this kind of fighting in sports smh.

If you’re going to fight at least make it entertaining. Shoutout to Thon Maker for the “flying kicks”.

I put this out there:

FIBA needs to institute some type of mercy rule to prevent stuff. Every country has a team, but obviously some can not play. If you look AUS was up by 30 at that point, and it looked like they still were playing starters. No need for that at all.

They need to put in some rule in these early qualifying that once a score hits a certain margin in the second half, they call the game. No need to keep everyone at risk by playing.

This is embarrassing for Thon. Why are you risking your NBA career to fight in some tournament no one even cares about..?

No its not a good look for him but at the same time if he just walked about and let his teammates get jumped like they were its also a bad look but in a different way. obviously me playing high school ball versus a guy making millions is a whole different situation but it was always have your teammates back no matter what.

Gotta love how quickly the Aussie announcers went from calling a ball game to a fight and criticizing the cowardice of the blind punches. I wonder how the call would have gone had they been facing each other in each instance.
