Better pure shooter but does nothing else better lol KCP is a 3 and D guy. Reddick is just the 3 without the D lol

as a pure shooter absolutely in terms of overall contribution... not much different

kinda surprised Reddick is as old as he is (34)

The KCP deal probably helped establish value...

Yeah, all around I think they're about the same value on the court.

Way better shooting is what the Lakers need. I get the defense part but Redick is just a much better shooter to where I don't see it being a big enough of a concern.

Problem is stars wont pick philly over LA. Leonard will end up in LA, Klay will stay with Warriors. Next year will be boring FA. Warriors and Celtics finals this year. Sixers vs Lakers finals the following!!

Except it really hurt in the playoffs. Celtics ran like 500 post ups with Smart a game.

There's many more FA's than those two with RFA and opt outs.

Assuming Kawhi isn't traded to Sixers, the process will be at least another year before they start competing

That was one of my favorite games to watch. Redick was so pissed when they took him out of the game

So frustrating to watch because we even tried to hide JJ, and you guys just switched and switched until you got the Smart covert by JJ / Tatum covered by Saric and then went to work.

Musta missed that part where you guys are competing too. I know you got Lebron but hold off on making fun of other franchises till this group does something.

Major market + 2 potential star players (if not already) + Flexibility + Assets? FOH

JJ has more value for sure. He forces the other team to use a spotter, and his defense continues to be ok. In today's game, he just ages perfect. Doesn't hurt that he keeps himself in great shape.

Nah...

1) 2013-2014 was the start of the process
2) This is the first season where we've actively been attempting to bring in marquee FA

In no shape or form does it mean 'Nobody wants to come to Philadelphia'

We'll see...

Paul George - Strike 1
LeBron James - Strike 2

I'll betcha next offseason is more of the same.

LA as is gets bounced in the first round imo.

You go from spewing crap to making predictions, cute :)

Telling me that a star player doesn't see the West and think ..."Hey..that team in Philadelphia is appealing with star talent, assets, and only BOS in the way (currently) to the Finals.'

I'm sure another star will be on the market next season as well when a West team realizes they've got no shot.

Lakers needed him instead of Pope IMO.

I realize that affects the caps differently. But it would have been better for LeBron.

Westbrook36

LeBron sure didn't think that...

He did..that's why we got a meeting with him

In my eyes a large part of why LeBron went to LA was to not have to uproot his family at all..they've already been spending the summers in LA. If he wanted to win right now he wouldn't have picked LA. He can evolve his business a bit more and hope the Lakers can surround him over the next two years to compete.

i have no knowledge of a formal Sixers offer to James or PG and lets not pretend like either guy made the right choice in the eyes of the public. Neither the Lakers or Thunder are any better than the Sixers right now even with Pg and James

Never said they were. Says a lot about PHI though that neither wanted to go play with the better team... LeBron had a formal meeting with PHI...

Right. Cause BOS beat PHI in 5 last year. They now added Kyrie and Gordon ... So, naturally, all PHI has to do is add Avery Bradley and Kyle O'Quin to match us.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Lebron sent his people to say thanks but no thanks when he had committed to the Lakers at least 3 days prior. frankly i think hes an ******* for that. but getting on the sixers for striking out is a reach and you know it especially when our window to really win has just opened. We have the most impactful 2 way player in the East things are just fine

Iversonfan4life
07-02-2018, 02:53 PM
^ Lebron was never at that meeting but nice try buddy. It was a formality. He knew he wanted to be a Laker a year ago. That series was much closer then 5 games but I don't have to tell you that.

I'm less worried about the C's with Kyrie and Hayward honestly. What made that team go was their defense. Kyrie and Hayward are bad defenders especially compared to Tatum/Brown/Smart (probably signing elsewhere).

Bradley and O'Quin and we go 7 with a chance to win probably go 7 as is. We'll see when the season starts.

Laker fans have found a way to be even more insufferable now than they were when they hated LeBron.

It's insanity.

they are the absolute worst. And it will just get more terrible now. I was already 90% out of the NBA forum. This might just slam the door on me..
