The Magic and restricted free agent Aaron Gordon have agreed on a four-year, $84 million deal.
The max for Gordon was $114 million over four years, but Orlando got a significant discount on that price. There weren't many teams with the cap space to give Gordon a big offer sheet, and Orlando likely would have matched anyway.

Orlando had to do this. Gordon has improved each season, even adding somewhat of an outside shot. He still has tons of potential, especially on defense. I'm looking forward to seeing him, Bamba and Isaacs terrorize other teams in the front court.
The big question is whether they can get a decent point guard. As a Blazer fan, I support either of the two trade proposals for C.J. McCollum from an SB Nation Blog for Orlando:

POR gets Evan Fournier + Nikola Vucevic + 2019 ORL first-round pick (top-10 protected) + future second-round pick, ORL gets C.J. McCollum, and if the Blazers were concerned about getting Turnerís bad deal off the books, Iíd be willing to facilitate that to save on giving up as much picks-wise. POR gets Evan Fournier + Nikola Vucevic + Terrence Ross + right-to-swap first-round picks (Top-10 protected, converts to lotto-protected 1st in 2020 if not utilized), ORL gets CJ McCollum + Evan Turner + future second-round pick.
