Do you think they look for a buyout too save some money or do they just bring him back for one more year.

If they buy him out it makes the team worse and all it does is save them some money. I have a feeling the fans would not be happy about it.

Trade him to me for Ibaka and Norman Powell.

The extension provision seems like a distinct possibility. That team is a 310 mil team that went to the playoffs and lost in 2 games. I don't see how they are going to turn a profit in that market. Besides Melo is not worth what he is getting paid any longer. Might be addition by subtraction at this point.

Trade him for R Anderson.

Melo holds the cards in this situation.

Not only do I think they could, I think they should, and I think they would.

It helps out both teams, makes since. PG & West are going to dominate the ball anyway. Just have shooters all around them.

Melo gives more fire power to Mike D'antoni offense.

Do you guys think if Melo would have been on Houston this past season, would it have made a big difference? I think so.

I'm not 100% set he goes to Houston.

Melo has so many options. He could ring chase and do the Houston/GSW thing. He could go for money and play on some bad team. He could go image rehab and try to help some middling team build up. I think NOP would be an interesting fit as they need a guy like that off the bench.

melo and 3 firsts to ATL for a 2nd but most importantly a massive TPE

Melo is guaranteed a buyout and heads to Houston...

OKC can add more pieces as necessary or if necessary

Why would they mortgage their future when they can buy him out and deal with it for 1 year?

most reports say they want to work it out for one more season.. we got nothing to lose anyways.

I think people are underestimating how washed he is.

He doesn't really do anything good anymore. He doesn't even attempt to drive the ball to the rim at all.

He was declining quick in NY, we had to have him play the pf position, they made it seem like it was because he had match up advantages there, truth was he couldn't defend or get passed small forwards anymore.

Now he's having the same problems at PF too, and on defense he's worse than ever, he barely even attempts his famous "melo swat" where he pretends to play defense without ever moving his feet, by waving his hand as a ball handler drives right passed him to the rim.

I would only take him in Houston if he is willing to come off the bench and basically take Ryan Anderson's minutes.

He wouldn't come of the bench for N.O. Why does everyone want Melo coming off the bench? lol

He isn't as bad as the media tries to make him out. He will be in Houston then because they want him and he will be a starter. lol

I didn't see Melo at the Paul George coming out party.

If you buy him out he's just going to go to the Lakers for the min and be a thorn in your side that way. Might as well just tell him he's your 6th man like it or not. If he's not on his best behavior he won't sniff another contract worthy of his time.

Yeah, I thought I saw something that they were going to look for a trade (I mean he's a huge expiring) or stretch him so they save tons of money.

Melo hates D'antoni from there time in New York. He is the reason he got fired and ran Lin out of town. He is not going to Houston he has an NTC and if he's a free agent he is going to LA.
