Pacers will make it tough (just like they did last year), but I think LBJ will just be too much.

Old graphic, but there ya go. Include 2016 and 2017 and LeBron is officially 48-7 in the 1st round of the playoffs. Insane.

Still, I think this can be a tough series.

Lebron in four.

The last time Lebron James lost a game in the first round was May 6th 2012 against the Knicks. He's swept the last five first round series he's been in because he that's when he really turns it on. I expect this series to be no different. Lebron beats the Pacers in four (I call them Lebron and and not the Cavs because they would be picking in the top 5 without him). It's all and only Lebron in Cleveland

TheDish87

Pacers in 7. No way that **** Cavs defense is closing any series out in 4-5 games and i dont think they can hold up if it goes 7. Indy matches up good with them and i think Turner has a monster series.

Cavs in 6. Pacers always play the Cavs hard..

in the regular season though... This is the time when players give even more. def the older guys.

cavs in 4. I like the Pacers and what they are doing. But Lebron will actually play defense now and end this quickly.

You have to take into account that this model does not fully grasp the concept of "coasting", or simply does not buy into it as much as most.

I'm wondering if the Cleveland guys came in thinking it was a cakewalk based on what half of the media were saying? I mean, Lebron and Love know that playoff games are difficult to win, but the younger guys who are making the playoffs for the first time might have just lapped up everything the media was saying, and now that Indiana isn't proving to basically give up, their jitters are coming out.

Lebron gonna have to slap these guys during the intermissions :laugh2:

They'd re-sign him in a heart beat if he changes his tune imo. PG signs, trade for george hill who can play off pg and dipo. Hill-Dipo-PG-Turner can make some noise and contend in the east. 10 percent chance of it happening.

Indiana deserves 100% credit for this ***-kicking. Their defensive intensity was insane and they came in with a great game-plan. They were using their speed in the PnR and attacking Love every chance they got. Dipo would do a 'LeBron' and back up after getting the switch, get a running start, and stop on the dime for the jump shot (Cavs bigs were playing off).

Love should have more than 8 field goal attempts. Cavs should be using him in the post.

Korver should get more than 3 minutes in the game. That's inexcusable. I know the Pacers were trying to attack him but you gotta hard-trap and rotate well. Force some turnovers and force guys like Stephenson or Young beat you from the perimeter.

Go down by 20 in the 1st quarter and it'll be tough to come back from that. Some better coaching/rotations and if we knock down some shots, I think we got a good chance of winning game 2.

The Cavs played like trash yesterday. It's only one game, and you can't overreact after one game.

But I will say this, this team is the #4 seed, not a top 1 or 2. This is one of the worst teams that LeBron has had in 8 years. They have a tough matchup here. I think people are really underrating the Sixers and Raptors as threats to come out of the East. I think LeBron will really have to put on a performance of a lifetime just to get to the Finals.

Pacers in 7. No way that **** Cavs defense is closing any series out in 4-5 games and i dont think they can hold up if it goes 7. Indy matches up good with them and i think Turner has a monster series.

They looked terrible yesterday but more importantly Indy took the game from them with their aggression. I doubt Cleveland shoots 8-34 from 3 again but this series really will come down to Indy's confidence

I don't know how the series will end but it is obvious this Cavs team is beatable especially if Lebron loses interest like he has in the past when he knows he is moving on.

Cavs in 5

This is going to be a nice warmup for the Cavs to get gelling.

you must be mistaking pre season games and offseason scrimmages for win or go home playoff series were most teams know who and what they are gel / chemistry wise, this mystery team of the Cavs wont be gelling until some offseason work, the Love injury buried that pretty much, along with the nagging ones suffered from the other new guys picked up

Pacers play hard and fast / with 82 game chemistry from what I viewed other day, Cavs play Bron ball and Lebron slightly went back into that mode where he just passes the ball and says I am tired you do it, that's why the 82 game regular season is so vital, so habits will be developed and all on the same page so you wont have to worry about gelling with guys for most part you have never went to playoff battle with

thing is he doesn't have his modern day AI type sidekick any more who could take over games offensively and give Lebron that relief he needed to stay fresh and relentless, I told all you experts on here that come playoff time Irving will be sorely missed, you cant replace a guy who is capable of dropping 50pts with Lebron in the lineup for a collection of players you hope can get you 50pts from a combined 3 players, that's a recipe for losing right there

I know its just one game but I am going off the confidence pct I had previous 3 years as to this one, and it went from 95%+ to 60-65% for them coming out the East, still the favorites but not like it use to be

Irving says ''kiss the ring'' and go watch the shot that shocked the world over the unanimous mvp, defensively you are on to something, just let me know when Hill goes off for 55pts with Lebron in the lineup with him and take over playoff games with dagger after dagger shots and then we can sip some medicinal tea and have good convo about this topic

Oladipo is definitely about to get overrated by these psd experts who love to see a player in year 4-5 just break out and have a whale of a season, all that hard work developing pays off

I guess he will be ranked all time in the 150 ish range since most of you on here got AI in the 60-80ish range

good job Oladipo, now he needs to go for a 99 rating on 2k, then he might creep toward AI range, all jokes aside Dipo is balling out, I felt he was capable of getting 20ppg but he went up a few pts which means more leverage for him in his next upcoming deal if he maintains this play for next few yrs

In all seriousness what has happened to George Hill? Just last year he was a solid PG who was also known for his defence and now he's trash on both ends. I thought acquiring Hill was going to be an under the radar big move for the Cavs but he didn't do a whole lot during the regular season. Hill's been good in the post season before and I know it's only one game but he showed a lot of the same regular season mediocrity in game 1.

He only played 18 mins. Even at his best he is not a play making point guard. He is a pretty good on ball defender, a reasonable jump shooter, and he is smart. I donít think he has ever been a big difference maker. In Cleveland he isnít going to get many shots. I do think he should get more then 18 mins but I donít expect much other then floor spreading and a lack of mistakes. Even on D itís not like he makes up for the total lack of paint protection or gives them a fast help defender. If you are going to play Love as a regular center you are going to suck on D

Lue's rotations and lineups look worse with this team than prior years because of the Cavs' depth. Love cannot start at center on this team. If Zizic is never going to play, Thompson has to even though he's been terrible. Love or Nance are too bad defensively to play all the Cavs' minutes at center. Hood and Hill combine for 40 minutes yet Green plays 27. I just don't think Lue can give this team its best chance to win.

He never really was much of a playmaker but heís more than a reasonable jump shooter. Prior to this year he was an excellent 3pt shooter as well. All reasons why I thought heíd fit in better with Lebron.

He obviously doesnít help on the inside of D but heís usually a good enough defender that you could leave him alone on someone. I figured he wouldíve given Dipo more trouble. It just came out today that he has a stiff back and an ankle injury so that could be why he had a lacklustre 18 minute game.

Lebron has to be extremely aggressive. These players need to be led

Irving matched Lebron's aggressiveness and was capable of going off for 40 each night 'with' Bron, those other players need to be flipped for a true superstar / star, if Boogie doesn't go down I feel like that BKN pick would have sealed the deal

men cant lead men especially in sports with the ego maniacs they are, they collectively decide to come together as one(chemistry) on their own accord, you either got it or you don't, and its different levels to that, which those players they traded for at deadline have it on a minor / small, level, they had Irving and flipped him for players who were more proven but had bigger egos than the current structure, and we all know Rose / Wade were proven but aged / injuries caught up and now in hindsight they would have been better off just flipping Thomas / Crowder and kept Wade, playoff Wade can still win 1 game in a series and Bron can handle the rest, that's why Irving made them so damn dangerous because Irving was capable of winning a couple games for you and Lebron you know is good to match that easily

Clarkson nor Hood nor Nance and definitely not Hill can single handedly win you a game or put that type of pressure on a defense all game like Irving can, that's what I was trying to explain to all you on here claiming that they were going to wreck the league, and that sounds as good as J Manziel when he texted the Browns to draft him so they can wreck the league, pure poppycock chatter

Lebron will wreck the league next year for another team unless they can pull off some major moves in the offseason

Yeah, that was one player who many felt would fit right in but he's had a poor year shooting the ball and playing defense. It's a terrible move by the Cavs in taking his contract but hindsight is 20-20. LeBron's going to need his backcourt (Jeff Green, Korver, Smith, Hill, and Clarkson) to score about 50 points collectively if they are to win games. Love will get his usual 20 and Bron can drop 30. No way can they rely on James every game.

Unless you have 2 or 3 guys that can blow up its going to be hard to win further down the line like this. If the Cavs had a system like Toronto, gs, Houston, Celtics, it be more helpful for them.

Here's the thing tho... Bron doesn't want that. People have been saying that for ages but he doesn't want/like to play off the ball and because of that his teams tend to play like **** when he's off the court. There's no denying he's one of the all time greats and you want the ball in his hands but if he would just by into a system he'd have won more.

So I'm sure you've all adressed it, but just got home and checked the box score... how is this a 5 point game with Lebron doing what he is?

Holy hell the Cavs without LeBron is just terrible to watch... Rodney Hood forgets how to dribble three consecutive possessions.

Pacers just not taking advantage of any of these turnovers though.

Ya he picked up 2 fouls in the first couple minutes and sat the rest of the first. Then scored some quick buckets before getting his 3rd.

he can't even get any assists cause this team doesn't know how to make shots.. and I have no idea why Jeff Green is getting minutes over Cedi. is cedi injured? like wtf...?
