It's a nationally televised game. Not easy to change a game like that.

I'm just glad Playoffs are coming. Most teams seem to be healthy and it's looking to be one of the best playoffs yet. Had enough of the regular season like four months ago..

Jazz gotta take care of business tonight and lock up HCA. That is absolutely insane to say out loud after being 9 games below .500 in January.

Wolves are favorites with Butler back, but they have so much pressure on them. The playoff drought and the preseason expectations all that is going to weigh on them.

This will be a defining game for Wiggins. If the Wolves lose and Wiggins has a bad game, I don't think he's coming back next season.

lol nice, but the Nuggets are guaranteed to be 7th seed if they win.

Wolves, on the other hand, can be 7 or 8.

That would be crazy if the Wolves miss the playoffs. I mean they were expected to be like 4th in the West at worst. I think says a lot about KAT/Wiggins lack of growth and that Thibs really isn't some phenomenal coach. As well as kinda proving that Rubio is a little better than most "fans" think he is. But hey, they can still get in. I kinda hope they do for their fans sake.

Which team takes his contract? He's overpaid and overrated.

Someone's going to pick him, they'll be attracted to the potential like usual. I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves try to package him in a deal for Kawhi Leonard.

mightybosstone

I can't remember a season where so much was undecided in a conference heading into the last day. There's definitely going to be a playoff atmosphere in the West with six of the nine potential playoff teams playing each other.

As a Rockets fan, I'm obviously looking for who likely finishes 8th. Assuming OKC beats Memphis (which they certainly ought to), the only remaining possibilities are New Orleans, San Antonio and Minnesota. Both the New Orleans/San Antonio games and Minnesota/Denver games seem like total tossups to me, so I really have no clue at this point.

Gun to my head, I think it's New Orleans. No matter what happens in all of the other games, if the Pelicans lose, then they're 8th, and with Pop coaching in what feels like a playoff game, something tells me the Spurs win.

Every time I watch Denver play I'm reminded that Devin Harris was in the league. I remember when he was that lightning quick guard with All-Star potential thriving on those mid-2000s Mavs teams at the heart of the Dirk era. That feels like ages ago.

Someone needs to create an All-"guys you forgot were in the league" team. That would be fun to reminisce...

Cal827
04-11-2018, 10:08 PM
Raptors are playing like idiots right now... I understand that 60 is a good milestone, but some of the guys we would want to rely on are getting unnecessary bumps and bruises... Ibaka just took an inadvertent elbow from Olynk and CJ got hurt earlier. It's much mroe important to go into the playoffs intact, then lose someone big to your team and need to adjust in a scenario where you could be eliminated.

Jokic is way too sloppy with the ball to give him the ball in a situation like that when Murray is scorching.

mightybosstone
04-11-2018, 10:22 PM
If Minnesota doesn't make the playoffs, I kind of think the Wolves should consider cutting ties with Thibodeaux or at least hiring some better offensive assistant coaches. It's shocking how bad these last few offensive possessions have been considering how many good offensive players, and I feel like they've played like this all season. It's just chaos with no real rhyme or reason to what they do.

IKnowHoops

The last three shots from the Wolves:
1. 15-footer from Gibson

So the Nets pick for Cleveland officially ends up in the #8 worst team slot. Which means they have a 7% chance of landing at one of the top three picks, and a 93% chance of it landing on 8-10 (can't land 4-7). Pretty much a worst case scenario for Cavs fans.

Proud of him. The dude carried us down the stretch when virtually we had no chance at making the playoffs. Him Murray and Harris are going to be a force in their prime.

Itís about urgency for Denver, they absolutely play like a 4 seed in the west a ton of the time, we also play like a 13 seed a ton of the time too. Hopefully it hurts them and they learn from this.

Jokic was absolutely exhausted and had nothing left for OT. He played 48 minutes and he only avg. 32 a game. He put the Nuggets on his back in the 3rd and scored 17 points. I believe he played the entire 4th as well. He just didn't have it.

In the end, The TWolves had their big FA signings step up for them and make big plays.

It's tough to Evaluate the Nuggets season. Some expected them to be better than they are and missing the playoffs is a failure. On the other hand, they lost Millsap for 44 games, and then lost Gary Harrris for like 14 at the end of the year and still managed to win 46 games.

The Nuggets have an interesting offseason ahead of them as well. If they decide to pick up Jokic's 4th year, he'll become and unrestricted FA next season. Obviously they have to look to sign him. But that means they'll have little room to make any additions in the offseason. Especially considering the awful contracts of Faried and Wilson Chandler (Who has a player option). It almost guarantees they'll lose Will Barton (which I'm not too upset about).

Either way, the expectations will be a lot higher for them next season. They'll be expected to make the playoffs and Mike Malone will be on the hot seat.

completely agree. I'd be fine with getting him IF lebron were to come here. But the only shot we even have of getting lebron is if PG is here, and even then it's not too likely. If we get PG in attempt to get LBJ but only end up with PG i'm gonna be pretty damn sad. Like I said, I'd rather roll with Lonzo Hart Ingram 1-3 than PG stunting Ingram and Harts growth for nothing.

It got a little easier with the Jazz losing. If they can get past the Spurs, they only have to face one of Rockets/Thunder/Jazz. I don't think that they're too worried of the Pels or Blazers if Curry comes back. If the Jazz woulda won, they woulda had to play Spurs and the winner of Jazz/Thunder then the Rockets (assuming the Rockets get to the WCF).
