I'm sure they'll also try to get them some time together. Their the back court of the future for the 6ers and they need to see how they work together leading up to he playoffs.

I actually want to see the presumed starting unit out there:
Fultz
Redick
Cov
Simmons
Biid

He'll play at least 15 if he's ready. A few minutes would not really make sense. Smart move imo might be to sub him in with about 4 to go in the 1st quarter with 1-2 other players. See how he fares and then let him start the 2nd and play another few minutes if he's good. Ditto 2nd half.

Fultz and 3 other guys at the scorers table with 3:45 to go in the 1st quarter. That's the move coach. Gets in with 3 to go. leeett''sss seeeee~

It's strange. Millsap barely touches TJ and it's a call. Murray trucks JJ on a 3 and nothing.

Even though the Nuggets are up 8 I don't like what I'm seeing from them. Too many turnovers and I don't like games like this when Barton starts off super hot. He'll start forcing plays in the 2nd half and taking ill-advised 3s, which will inevitably lead the Sixers back into the game.

He had a layup and an ugly airball. I missed the other two - both misses though. We'll see how he looks in the 2nd.

Lonzo crushing it out there for LA tonight. 8/6/9 + 2 steals on 4-4 with 1 turnover midway through the 3rd. Tight game.

Nuggets gave up 70 in the 2nd half also allowed a team to shoot 45% from 3. This has been a pattern for this team.

Tomorrow is the Raps, they'll lose that one too. Hopefully Mike Malone is gone, and they start cleaning with some of these players.

That's fine to say this season, Tatum is obviously more valuable. At the end of next season will be a much more accurate representation of who has a brighter future.

I see the Kings being a bottom 7 team next yr, with a slim chance of getting number 1. Regardless, I still consider Tatum + a 1st a heist because I think Tatum alone > Fultz. Tatum scored 1000 pts as a 19 yr old rookie, shooting 43 percent from 3, is 6'9", and has over 2 more WS than D. Mitchell who everyone raves about. Tatum on Utah would be averaging 20 a game too.

warfelg
03-27-2018, 09:36 AM
And there not a whole lot to support the Tatum > Fultz right now because of the lack of playing for Fultz. Lots of people had said this is going to take to the end of the rookie contracts to figure out.

TheDish87
03-27-2018, 09:37 AM
i love Tatum, i had him and Dennis Smith in the top tier with Fultz but Heyward is going to take a lot of usg away from Tatum next year. I always had Fultz as the top dog for the Sixers and he showed why last night. The point of acquiring assets is to use them and we had the luxury to use one of ours and get our last piece. But I fully expect the Kings to be in the race for #1 next year again, its not like they will sign anyone important. Itll just come down to if/when new teams go hard for the tank in the 2nd half.

corky831
03-27-2018, 09:44 AM
I'm not bashing Fultz, I want to see him do well, I just wanted to point out how well Tatum has done as a 19 yr old rookie for a playoff team. His upside is tremendous. I actually liked him over Fultz pre-draft just because he's been hyped since a 15-16 yr old. Fultz came on late as a prospect. The thing that may devalue Fultz is that he's basically going to be a SG compared to the PG for Philly because of Simmons usage. We will have to see if Fultz will commit to the defensive end as Tatum has in the Celtics system.

warfelg
03-27-2018, 09:51 AM
Again, we havenít seen Fultz enough to draw conclusions. So to say you prefer Tatum after seeing 70 games of him as a 3rd/4th option, over Fultz who just had his first healthy game of the year, is silly.

Just trying to calm the Philly fans in this game thread, there's 6 pages with probably 5 pages talking about how great Fultz is after he scored 10 pts on 38 percent shooting, against a Denver team that is in the bottom 3rd of the league in team defense.....that is the definition of silly.

warfelg
03-27-2018, 10:54 AM
Itís been 68 games, 150 days of micro-analyzing every little thing for him. 1 tipped shots, 2 blocked shots. A few rim outs. But his stroke looked fluid and smooth. Thatís why weíre excited. The fact that he was breaking guys down on the dribble and the threat to shoot, attack, or pass is exactly what this team has been missing.

Almost universally if you asked Sixers fans what was most important last night with Fultz, a willingness to shoot, and being fluid while shooting would be #1 and #2.
