When rwb leaves, a story on how OKC lost 3 mvps as karmic justice for stealing Seattle away

I've been on a 30 for 30 binge recently. Even in sports I have no interest in, I find the stories engaging and interesting to say the least.

What are some amazing basketball related stories you think 30 for 30 should do?

I would love a documentary on Arvydas Sabonis. Once Brothers (an episode of 30 for 30) was about Drazen Petrovic's and Vlade Divac's relationship/international competition, I would think Sabonis (a higher caliber player than both) would be great to watch.

I'm probably a homer, but I think Dirk should get his own episode too. The revolutionary 4 who was robbed by crooked referees only to get his revenge 5 years later when he defeats the same team. They could interview former NBA referee Tim Donaghy who openly admitted to the 2006 Finals as well as other playoff series being setup. There is even footage of Donaghy breaking certain plays of the 2006 Finals where Wade wouldn't even get touched but a foul was called anyways. I'd certainly enjoy it.

In Sam we Trust: The story of the Process.

It's gonna happen.

I think a great one could be:
Fallen Kingdom; Dolan's Knicks.

I don't get to watch them, but have they done Len Bias or Earl Manigault? Both tragic stories.

They should do one called So Close: Portland's missed opportunites on them taking Bowie and Oden over MJ and KD and then losing to the Magic in the WCF of 91 and losing Game 7 to the Lakers. Just us losing in general lol.

I'd love to see something around the failure of team USA to succeed the Dream Team(s) in the 2000s.
Olympics 2000 team, the 2002 World Cup team that got 6th place at home, the 2004 Olympics team, the 2006 World Cup team and give a brief intro to the 2008 team that re-established the USA as the undisputed #1 basketball country in the world.

It could also be a fairly technical pov which I'd love to see and how the international basketball scene has changed and adapted more quickly than the American in that time.

Also, would love more college basketball features. UCLA's run in the 60s/70s for example or some other interesting story that needs to be heard.

It is freaking crazy that 3/4 MVPs played on the same team at one point.

I don't think Donaghy officiated in the 2006 finals. He did say that Ed Rush hated Cuban and wouldn't be above screwing the Mavs, and he said he believed the NBA was not above "fixing" a series. But he stopped short of saying it actually had happened.

I don't think he did either. But he is on record saying he knew the Mavericks didn't have a chance to win (in spite of being up 2-0). He knew the league came at the refs blowing them up with videos of plays that should have been called fouls in favor of Miami. Using his relationships with virtually every single ref, he admitted to making bets against Dallas to win because of this. He confirms what you wrote and added other people who personally hated (maybe still hate) Cuban.

I'd love to see this 30 for 30! :P

How 'bout waiting a couple more years then they can do a 30 for 30 entitled;
"How the 'experts' missed so badly on Markelle Fultz?"

If the Warriors win 2-3 more titles I'd like to see something about Steve Kerr as a composite of the Jackson and Pop philosophies and how he oversaw the greatest dynasties of the 2010's while merging the two best coaching styles of the modern era together.

The Popovic coaching tree would be an interesting 30/30 too.

I really wish they would release the one they made about the Kings staying in Sacramento. It was screened, but sexual abuse allegations came out against Kevin Johnson before being aired, and they pulled it. I get not wanting to glorify a sexual predator, but I wish they'd edit it or something. There's a great story to tell, and being a Kings fan on the opposite side of the country, I'd really like to see it.

Sabonis would be a good one. I've always wanted to learn more about his career and his story.
