Can't believe the Rox/Raps isn't on national television. Guess it's true that American media hates the Raptors.

Would love to have the Raps and Rox on National Televsion. If the Rockets get past this team on a 3rd game in 4 nights, and extend their streak to 18...they might not lose the rest of the way

Was waiting for this thread to go up so I can bait Rocket fans :laugh2:

Well the main game of the night is Houston-Toronto... Both teams on their 3rd in 4 nights so no rest advantage either.

Should be a good game, but I think that Houston might just eke this one out. They've been insane, and they probably want a little revenge on the Raptors for their earlier win this season in Houston. It's crazy that a team that's won 17 in a row (on top of having a great record PRIOR to the win streak), could be leapfrogged in the standings if they lose a game.

If the Raptors win this one, I fear I become the Raptors version of DoMeFavors :laugh2:

The Rockets/Raptors game in Houston was the worst officiated game I've ever seen (and that's saying something). I assume tonight will be better. Sucked, too, because it had a playoff feel.

Rockets fans feeling what I felt during the big 3 Heat era, I would forget what a loss felt like at times.

I feel like Sashi was our NFL Hinkie (though it was far more short-lived).

I think the Browns are gonna be gooood in the next few years. It'll make me care less about how the Cavs end up this year and if LeBron walks. :laugh2:

The Rockets got revenge on previous losses this season in three of their last four wins (Clippers, Boston and OKC). This would be the fourth. And considering it's their third game in four nights, it will ultimately probably be the hardest. But this Rockets team has found so many different ways to win as of late, and they have a tendency to show up in big games, especially if they can avenge a previous loss.

I really hope they pull this one off. It would be amazing for this team to top its previous 22-game win streak.

Warriors need to win 1 more than Houston (Houston has the tie breaker) to get the 1 seed so a loss won't move them out of the 1 seed.

That's a little asinine. The Raptors are playing at home and were in Milwaukee last night. To say that it's exactly the same scenario is extremely misleading.

Rockets arenít on a second night of a back to back, the only disadvantage is playing in Toronto.

Houstonís offense looks stiff. And the basket has a lid on it apparently. Iíve seen this before though, Raptors better step on the Rockets and not let them get back in cause this wonít last all game.

Cal827

Yeah Bosstones, The Raptors and Rockets both played their last games on Wednesday, Houston winning in Milwaukee and Toronto beating Detroit in Detroit.

I'm not understanding what you were getting at, did the Rockets stay in Milwaukee until today? Cause I know there's an hour difference in time zone.

The Raps bench, which is easily the best bench in the league, is creating separation.

Rockets: 1-9 from the 3-point line to start the game
Raptors: 8-16

That's pretty much the game right there. Unless someone figures out how to make jumpers or they can figure out how to close out on Toronto's shooters, they're going to get hosed tonight. Just a brutal start...

I actually don't think their defense has been abysmal, aside from a few times they got lost in transition. The Raptors have hit their shots, and the Rockets are having their worst 3-point shooting night of the season. Also, Lowry has just absolutely killed Paul, and they're getting slaughtered on the glass.

If there's any silver linings, it's that the Rockets are doing a good job getting to the rim (even if they have missed a handful of gimmes), and Harden has played smart, efficient basketball so far. But if they don't start hitting 3-pointers, this game is over.

I hate that the streak was over, but Toronto outplayed and outhustled them for too much of the game. I'm shocked they were able to climb back into the game considering how awful they were shooting the ball and how poorly everyone aside from Harden played offensively in that game.

The Raptors are one dangerous ****ing basketball team, and they're a tough matchup for Houston since the Rockets have really started to slowdown their offense. I'd love to see the two of them in a seven-game series.

I didn't think the Raps played well to be honest. It was nice win. I'll take a win against the Rockets anyway you can get it, but the Rockets really took the Raps out of their offense. Good thing is Lowry felt the same way in his post game. We got a long ways to go but it was a fun game for sure!

I'm sorry Rocket fans, as I said earlier. It sucks that you win 17 games in the Row, look to be the best team in the NBA, just to possibly lose your conference lead after a single loss.

Though, seeing how the team is with your big 3, it's gonna be fun to see the likely Golden State/Houston WCF that's upcoming... I can't pick a team to win that at this point.

he needs to go up hard there... the 3 before was terrible as well... that being said why is IT even on the floor late in the game? this game was in the bag for you guys.

was never in the bag, most we were up by was 6, cmon now... Lonzo did **** up that 3 tho, i was yelling for a quick two. Stupid play.

So glad KCP pushed murray. He was a douche last time. Well deserved.

why does zub only get 8 minutes... he legit did everything for them in those 8 minutes and they sit him lol

he was legititmately trash in those 8 minutes. Went up soft consecutive times vs Plumlee and got rejected on both of those, then goes for a swinging hook and airballs it. This one I can't defend Zu, he was garbage.

Lue's rotations are SOOOO bad. Pathetically bad.

Lue's rotations make no sense and it's why this team can't figure out who's doing what. The uncertainty of J.R. starting or not is a huge issue that has clearly been a nightmare for J.R. and the Cavs. LeBron has been carrying you guys the entire ten games but if he's off, there is no way you guys win. I hope Love can help the Cavs with some of these problems but I don't think it will.

We've missed a ton of layups at the rim. LeBron has lost the ball right before dunking. Tobias Harris is throwing up contested fadeaway 3's and knocking them down. Can't grab loose balls and rebounds. None of our deflections are bouncing our way and we're getting killed on broken plays. When we DO play terrific defense and deflect balls with 3 seconds left on the opponents shot clock, they inbound and knock down a deep contested 3.

Just not our night. Crazy.

I think the Blazers have either made a 3 or been fouled on a 3 in half of their last 15 possessions.

Javal was hilarious on that pass to KD who was out of the play. KD couldn't help but smile.

I really enjoy listening to Jim and Bob. They are impartial as commentators can be for their home team.

smh what a pitiful effort by the Cavs tonight.

It's frustrating. We're fighting in stretches but it's matched by an offensive rebound, a tough made shot, a loose ball broken play turned into a 3, etc...

They clearly have the size advantage and are exploiting a rebounding issue, but we've been unable to capitalize at all. Not playing our best game for sure.

Green's inability to hit a 3 has been killing us the last 5 or so games. JR getting killed off the dribble as usual (Hood leaving the game after 6 minutes hurt us since JR has been in longer). We're super banged up right now but Lue is still doing so badly with the rotations.

Fun game in Toronto tonight. Great fan base.

With the Rockets not being able to hit the side of a barn and Lowry going for what felt like 13-14 from 3, I'm surprised it ended on the last play. That comeback was pretty great.

Wow I just happened to take a look at the standings in the West, the clippers nuggets and jazz, seeded 8, 9, and 10 respectively in the standings are a 1 1/2 games out from the 5th seed.

They make dj look like Wilt its sad. I lost all my earnings from this year on that game. Clips coasted to victory, prolly should've blown them out and that's from a non playoff western squad.

What was stupid about an essential coin flip? Or was it going all in that made it dumb? I still got my savings from the last stupid bet I made when the Cavs took g7, and still got some chump change from my preseason warriors pick. I'm o k losing a rs worth of games pal, haven't had a losing season since like 03, unless we count brons loss with Miami but I don't

Idk, Cavs are extremely undersized right now and are struggling against teams with size and athleticism in the paint. I could've told you that DAJ would feast on them. I thought he would get 30 boards after that 1st quarter. The last game against Denver, Jokic feasted. Embiid, LMA, Adams. A big with size is probably gonna dominate.

Definitely wouldn't bet on a shaky, inconsistent Cavs team in that scenario on the road (where they've been .500 this year), even with the 5-game road winning streak. Just one of those 'stay-away' from games IMO.
