Shaq won the 04 all star game mvp in LA as a Laker

Kobe won the 11 all star game mvp in LA as a Laker

LeBron wins the 18 all star game mvp in LA as a Cavalier but... is he Laker bound?

1963, played in LA, won by Bill Russell.....never a Laker.
1983, played in LA, won by Julius Irving....never a Laker.

Nice try though.

LeBron playing in LA and winning an MVP there at an All Star Game really doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things

LeBron will not go to the Lakers for so many reasons. One of them being LaVar Ball. LaVar and his big mouth is a deterrant or will be a deterrant to attract LeBron let alone any max player from wanting to come there unless you decide to get rid of Lonzo Ball altogether in order to make room for LeBron. Lakers have cap space but even so they would have to move around so many other pieces too plus Ball to ensure LeBron being in a Laker jersey next season.

Plus LeBron is playing in a much easier conference in the East...a guaranteed path to the Finals every year and if he were to go to the West he would have to see Golden State as early as the Conference Finals whereas in the East he wouldn't have to deal with all of that.

Yeah, LaVar Ball ruins any chance LeBron signs with that team. He'll never put himself in those crosshairs.

Crazy how much impact a player's father can have. I'd argue he hurts their chances of signing ANY significant free agents.
