Timberwolves are a good team this season and still can't get up for that game.

Part of it is I have a date-ish thing and was going to prob miss it anyway, but even if I stay home, it's going to be hard to get fired up for this game lol, who is even on the Timberwolves other than Butler?

if it wasn't for the Klay bashing on here, I wouldn't even realize he left the Bulls lol.

What does Klay getting bashed have anything to do with your lack of knowledge in subjects you consistently put yourself into?

Eastern Conference 5 seed versus Western Conference 5 seed. Me thinks this doesn't end well for Washington.

mightybosstone
01-25-2018, 10:23 PM
This game feels like it should be a bigger blowout than it is. OKC is letting Washington stay in this game.

mightybosstone
01-25-2018, 10:27 PM
OKC keeps blowing it up to a 16-17 point advantage, then settling for contested jumpers on bad offensive possessions and not closing out on shooters, allowing Washington to climb back to 10 points or less. I keep waiting for Washington to make a game of it, but it's just been this annoying roller coaster pretty much since the start.

mightybosstone
01-25-2018, 10:39 PM
Uh oh.... We've got a Draymond Green groin kicking situation in OKC. Adams going down on a loose ball swung his leg out and kicked right on Beal's groin. Didn't look intentional in real time, but in slow motion, that was almost certainly intentional.

01-25-2018, 10:39 PM
Lol Adams taking a page from his Draymond experience there.

mightybosstone
01-25-2018, 10:42 PM
I kinda think the refs screwed that up. How is it a technical on Adams and not a flagrant foul?

mightybosstone

This has turned into a pretty damn good basketball game. Beal is playing a hell of a game.

Washington just cannot stop turning the ball over. The Thunder have 32 points off of 20 Wizard turnovers. You hold on to the ball, you win the game.

Yeahhh... I'm beginning to think this OKC team might be putting it together. Westbrook is starting to do Westy things, and George and Melo are starting to look engaged. Part of this run could be that they caught some teams playing bad basketball right now, but they looked really, really good against Cleveland a few days ago and were pretty solid tonight.

Their offense is still all over the board, but they have enough talent and enough offensive rebounding (Adams alone is a teams worth of O-rebounding dear Lord) that they'll be fine on that end. Their D is stifling. They're looking extremely potent, I gotta say.

Full health both teams? I mean the Wolves should improve a bit more by the end of the year, so "how many can they?", 2 most likely. But I'd take the Warriors in 5 if I had to make a wild guess.

23 first half assists for the Warriors. 60% from the field and 67% from 3 (10 threes). That's a pretty amazing offense to watch when they're cookin'.

It's the result of A) winning and calling it like it is and B) having your teams back in the face of absolutely non-stop **** talk about them. Rest assure, the comment you just made is the exact same comment made 100X absout Lakers fans from 2009-2011, and then Miami fans from 2010 to 2014 before they each fell out of relevance.

I have a question that I meant to ask the other night. The Warriors last Saturday were wearing The Town jerseys. Why? They're Golden State, they represent the Bay Area, and they currently play in Oakland and soon to move to San Francisco (none of which are known as being towns. Is this a decades old moniker for them or from their Philly days? Just struck me as being odd the other night.

Oakland is called the town, since north of LA, SF is called "the city". Since those city jerseys have been around a while and the team was in SF at one point, the team wanted to pay homage to Oakland since they will move to SF soon so that's why they made the Town jerseys.

I can't even remember the Warriors ever making that many 3's. The record is 24 by the Rockets and the Dubs had 21 tonight. But I'm looking at the boxes now and the difference is the Rockets did it on 61 attempts. Warriors took just 37 threes tonight. Crazy.

He actually only lived there a few years (along with stops in Bournemouth in England, Sydney, and down here in Galveston). Loved that area. We've been bros for 20+ years and travel together fairly often with the wives. Looking forward to tripping over to the Smokies, Outer Banks, Charleston, Savannah, D.C/Philly, etc in the coming years.

Oh, and I've heard Oakland was coming up lately and have a (sorta in an online sorta way) buddy that owns a liquor store somewhere in Oakland. He raves about it.
