I mean "We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees." is pretty stupid, but he's had some dumb $#!t come out of his mouth.

When the Raptors were a 48 win team instead of going for like their 4th 50 win season in a row all you heard from Raptors fans was the exact same thing.

Bucks never should of hired Kidd. Kidd doesn't know x's and o's. Heck playing Warriors other year Green said Bucks are predictable since they only run two plays. Kidd running Giannis and Middleton into the ground with 40 minutes a night. Horrible rotations. Heck Vaughn plays well early part of each season score 20. Then DNP-CD's rest of the season. Kidd also gets his way bring his kinda guys like KMart, Bayless, Jet, Jorge. Bucks have the worse defense scheme in the league. Glad that skin headed **** is gone that DUI wife beating *****.

Only one of those firings was bad. The other two were 100% warranted.

I hate twitter at times, because without a tweetthread, heís not putting any of that into context. And thatís BS to insinuate race into this yearís firings. The Bucks are a massive disappointment based on expectations and a top 5 player. The Suns were getting horribly blown out of games. Griz were underachieving a little but not that bad.

mightybosstone
01-23-2018, 09:21 AM
On the Kidd firing, it was absolutely the right move. I honestly don't watch a lot of Milwaukee games, but when you have as much talent as they do and continue to underachieve, at some point the front office needs to take a serious look at the coach.

I liked Fizdale in Memphis, and he's the obvious candidate here. But I'm always a JVG guy, and at some point somebody needs to make him a ridiculous offer to get him back into coaching again like the Raiders did with Gruden.

Ahriman
01-23-2018, 09:28 AM
Seems like Williams is a serious candidate for the job. Don't think he'll elevate the team to the next level but he still did quite an ok job during his time with Davis

#FireKidd goes back before this season. I honestly don't know what idiot in the Bucks front office/ownership hired him. Whoever it is should be fired/have his portion of the team taken away.

Very seldom does a coach getting fired lead directly to a player changing teams. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Well not only that, the tweet from July is very open ended. Whoís the loyalty to? Bucks as a franchise? The city? Teammates? Coach?

I think itís a little much to assume:
A tweet from July still is relevant.

I know its gone on before this season. It was trending more on twitter with hash tags. I was in the movement on every Bucks tweet with many others. We got the job done. Bucks forum we had fire Kidd suggestions last couple seasons. Also Kidd was almost fired last season. It was that one game our GM then Hammond had to do the after game presser. Kidd wasn't round for a speech. It was that night he was almost a goner.

warfelg
01-23-2018, 10:33 AM
To add in, we also got that line fed to the media to Kidd.

Was Giannis really devastated? Was this Kidd trying to save face? Was Giannis mad that this was too soon or too late?

Personally I think this is Kidd trying to save face. If he can turn this into ďI was a head coach too fast, but my players loved meĒ thereís a chance he can be an assistant somewhere. But if he canít, any hopes of coaching are out the window because he failed with a team built to win now, he failed to develop anyone, and his players werenít that loyal to him.

JVG will of course say Kidd shouldn't have been fired, Mark Jackson will probably say something similar but a little less supportive while also talking in glowing terms about Bucks players for the rest of the year while he tries in the back ground to work his way into the job.

My guess is they don't hire a former player this time.

Hey guys,

I've been extremely lenient through this whole thing with Giannis94, as has the rest of the staff. You can look at the Village of the Banned forum and see why we banned him, and how long the ban is (two weeks.). If you absolutely feel the need to discuss it, you can create a thread in the General Questions and Concerns forum. I can't guarantee how much information we can give out, but in this situation I will say that we had a user who was trolling in the NBA forum and we let it go for long enough. It was the single longest report post thread we've had in the history of PSD, with discussion and input coming from many mods. My hope is Giannis94 comes back in (less than) two weeks, and is a productive member without the trolling.

All I am asking is that we do not air our dirty laundry in the sports forums. There are ways to go about things other than this.

Although I would love to see JVG on the sidelines again, and every team with a coaching vacancy should be calling him regardless, I kind of question that, too. When the Rockets job opened up, a lot of Rockets fans (myself included), wanted to see JVG get an interview. He lives in Houston and loves it here. But it didn't really seem like there was a ton of interest on either side, and I wonder if he just doesn't really want to coach anymore.
