Enjoyed this look at the assist in the NBA with some info on stat keeping.

Can we find any stats that show officials really do help the home team?

Which team has the best home court advantage? The Raptors?

Which team has the worst home court advantage?

Which player has the largest positive difference home to away?

Which player has the largest negative difference home to away? Rockets Anderson?

it would be so hard to track down how much of stat improvement at home is home cooking vs just players playing better. I did read an article a couple of years ago that shows that denver and Utah had the best home court advantage probably because of the altitude and distance teams have to travel.

Denver and Utah definitely have the best home court advantage in the NBA. With the travel schedule there's no time for visitors to acclimate to the altitude. Not the same for the NFL, where teams show up Tuesday for a Sunday game.

There is also the environment ... Cities with big draws for night life may be better for the home team.

But you could look at simple win ratio at home vs away over 5 years, or point differential, or a number of team stats.
