Giannis and KD are captains so far.

50% from fans. 25% from coaches and another 25% from media. But two captains only can pick from either side.

did i read right this morning that the entire pool of players will be from the fan vote?

The top two look like the two mvp candidates. In that order.

Where u at MTM. Giannis has more than double you-know-who. Time to hop off PSD and start voting.

In all honesty Giannis started out leading the race but he's not even top 3 for MVP anymore.

Eh he's right there. He's continued to dominate and the Bucks have improved to the 5 seed. Meanwhile we've got mini tailspins by the Cavs and Rockets the past couple weeks. Right now there's no clear leader. Top 5 are probably Harden/Giannis/Bron/Curry/KD in some order (still lean Bron/Harden as the top 2 but the big gap is all gone).

Those are my top 5 as well. I think Giannis is probably at 5. Kyries numbers aren't on par but he may be up there too. Hell Jimmy and Derozan are climbing up the standings.

DD will probably post 80 against the bucks putride no-coached defense Aftet that he will regress back to the norm

From SI:

Under the new system, two captains will draft teams out of a pool of players voted in as starters and reserves. The leading vote-getter from each conference will serve as a captain, and will get to hand-pick their sides out of each pool.

The selection process will remain the same, with 12 players from each conference being voted in and starters selected by a combo of fan vote, player vote and media vote. Head coaches will again select the 14 reserve spots.

So ... that's not terribly clear. It looks like fans pick captains, fans/players/media get to pick the pool of players the captains can choose from but they ONLY select the starters and coaches select all of the reserves.

What they mean (I think) is that the fans/media/coaches votes are combined to select the starters, and the coaches pick the reserves. Then after that whoever was the leading vote getter from each conference picks all the players for their full team.

yea so the same as before with how the starters are picked. i thought i saw something that said the fan/coach/player votes would account for every player selected not just starters. thanks for the info

what dont you get? its just a way to attempt to freshen the game up and avoid the massive gap in overall talent in the West compared to the East

Maybe so, not saying DD is ahead of Giannis in the race but he's definitely catching up.

Its correct and expected.... The all star game is for both top names and top stat guys.... Giannis has the stats much like love did when he was on the wolves all those seasons.... Also this is only embiids 2nd year... next year he will be leading this vote

Embiid and simmons playing in the ECF this year will go along way.

Sucks that Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are going to keep getting undeserving All-star spots over players who are actually ballin this year like Tyreke Evans and Lou Williams.

This is embiids 4th year......

And the 76ers can't meke.it to the finals. Especially considering embi still can't play in b2b games.
