I'm going with the CAVS. Their bench is tearing teams apart in a lot of the games I've watched this year. AT times they've been even better than the starters and have picked their slack up on multiple occassions.

Who do you think has the best bench?

The Raptors? They have the best net rating.

Ryan Wolstat:
Toronto's bench ranks No. 2 in offensive rating, No. 3 in defensive rating and No. 1 in net rating in the NBA. Kids (and C.J. Miles) are alright.

But mainstream opinion will probably be the Cavs or whatever popular team you guys like to talk about.

How is it not the Warriors. The bench is a playoff team in the east lol.

Raptors are definitely up there, so are the Grizzlies.

I haven't watched a single Raptors game this year. Holy sh$+ is their bench good.

Lol I doubt it this year. The East is looking pretty solid. Their bench is probably top 5 though.

Tyreke Evans is flying under the radar this year. He's been great off the Grizzlies bench. 18-5-3 shooting well from 3 and everything.

How can it be the Cavs?

Well, let's throw some stats out there. The net rating for all the benches:

1. Raptors - 10.9 net (109.4 ORtg, 98.5 DRtg)
2. Warriors - 9.4 net (112.5 ORtg, 103.2 DRtg)
3. Pistons - 7.9 net (103.5 ORtg, 95.5 DRtg)
4. Rockets - 6.1 net (106.4 ORtg, 100.3 DRtg)
5. Celtics - 6.0 net (100.6 ORtg, 94.6 DRtg)
6. Cavaliers - 5.0 net (109.6 ORtg [2nd in league], 104.6 DRtg [17th in league])

So the Cavs, statistically, have the 6th best bench.

However, if you go off the last 5 games, 4 games, and 3 games, the Cavs bench have the 2nd best in the league (Toronto's bench is just obliterating fools).

All small sample sizes, but still fun to look at.

They just keep getting better and better.

I can't wait for IT and TT to return. The starters will be at full force and destroying teams.

The thing is, I don't want Rose and his tunnel vision with the 2nd unit so I wonder if he'll fall out. At this point, not sure I even want Crowder in there, not because he's bad, but because it's going so well right now.

Wade
Korver
Shumpert
Green
Frye

Not sure who's filling in for Shumpert right now but actually I would love to replace Shumpert with Jae when TT returns. Should be another big boost.

Yeah, Grizz bench is doing good. They're ranked 7th in net rating and Blazers are ranked 8th.

I speak many times on how you need a bench to really compete for a title and you can bet your life savings that one of those teams listed are winning a title, almost a Sheed like guarantee

You might be right. The last 5 teams to win titles had a bench that ranked top 6 in net rating the regular season (2011-12 Heat's bench was #8).

The Warriors and Cavs benches have the advantage of quality playoff experience.

The Raps whole team has been a surprise this year ... except Lowry.

Lakers bench, while not among the best five in the Nba imo, is noteworthy.

Clarkson/Ennis
Hart
Kuzma/Brewer
Randle(now a starter since Nance's injury)
Bogut/Zubac(he's not playing a lot, we are running a lot of small ball and he needs to develop).

Bucks must be dead last for a bench.

I wonder which bench has the highest net rating per minute?

WaDe03

Dwyane Wade net rating +4.8

LeBron James net rating -0.2

Wade should be in the MVP race if LeBron is.

going with cavs because im so mainstream lol.

Wade, Green, korver, Frye etc... have been playing very good basketball. Even that rookie Cedi has played well in very limited minutes. Just wait until they get healthy lol.

Celtics bench is trash regardless of what their net rating is.Agreed sorta but for some reason, Brad Stevens can get them to play winning basketball unlike most HC and should win COTY! They are such an underrated bunch of untalented no names
