I've just been box score watching but Marc Gasol seems to be pretty dominant to start this year.

Why in the world do the Celtics allow Smart to run their offense when Kyrie is out?? Took 4 of their final 6 offensive possessions (0-4, scored on the other 2). Good game here at the Mecca.

I was only half watching the Grizz/Warriors game but he crushed us. Won't last at this level obviously (you don't become an offensive phenom in year 10 on the same team), but he's a beast... and beasting.

Kyrie puts it away. Giannis reallllly struggled in that 2nd half. C's played great D on him and he was only effective in transition. Kyrie adds him to the graveyard of guys who tried to guard him in ISO.

GREATNESS ONE

Giannis saves the stats rattling in 2 garbage time threes, but that was a great showing by Boston defensively in the 2nd half. MoneyLine baby.

Blake Griffin with another MVP performance man. That was a great ****ing game (good job TNT picking Pels/Kings...). 3 pt game-winner at the buzzer for BG. Epic.

He might be the best PF in the league again. Not only is he playing at a MVP level but he's leading his team to an undefeated record so far.

40/20/5 games in the first game back against your old team (in a win, without your marquee player) don't suck. GG DMC.

Has done an absolutely stellar job defending Embiid, Simmons, Porzingis, and Giannis so far. They made life for Giannis very tough last night.

How do you feel about the Arron Banes addition? I felt you guys needed some girth last year and he definitely brings that. Looks like he is getting about 20 mins a night to. Is he a good fit?

Embiid shot himself out of the game and Simmons had a double double. Not sure I would call that "stellar defense"

Bucks need to hurry up and trade for Bledsoe.

Simmons shot 4-11. The other team's highest usage player is probably gonna score double digit points but if he does it on trash percentages that's good D. Embiid was 4-16 (25% himself). Granted sometimes guys miss shots and I thought the officials ruined the offense flow of the game but BOS obviously did a good job on those guys overall. I don't remember enough to say what part of that is attributable to Horford individually though.

I think he's been a good fit so far. I was always relatively high on him. My stance has been that in terms of player ability going from Olynyk to him at backup Center was a downgrade, but in terms of team fit I thought Baynes made up for it by bringing a skillset of greater need. We need his complimentary toughness inside over Olynyk's complimentary offense.

It was more Baynes on Embiid. Horford didnít take Simmons much, but Simmons got most his assists when Horford was on him.

Our team shooting percentage was crappy that game and our turnovers were low. When I look at something like that I donít really attribute it to the opposing team, rather our failures as an offense.
