That's a terrible slate of games up until Jazz/Clippers, which should be great.

Eh maybe yeah. I think I'd take the -4.5 for Portland if I was downtown.

Do you expect Wade's PER at the end of the year to be over/under the current 1.68?

I expect it in the negatives by the end of this week.

Bulls hitting everything. They'll cool off.

This is how they play us, though. It's why they swept us last year.

True, but some of it is a result of the screener grabbing. Felicio grabbed Crowder and they gave the Bulls a 4 point play.

The screen/pick is so annoying in today's Nba.

No complaints until the end. Wade should've played the last 6 minutes of the game. Should never have one of the best closers ever on the bench. If we're going strictly by the SG position the rotation should go:

JR-6
Wade-8
JR-4
Wade-6

That should be the rotation each half. JR can steal a few from the SF because Korver will have games where guys are picking on him defensively.

Rough start in Minny for Jimmy Buckets. **** the bed 3 straight games then sits out with a cold.

tredigs
10-24-2017, 09:33 PM
Minny is just not going to be good and will continue to lose close games if they don't drastically improve their D, especially in the half court. When the Pacers are lighting you up at will you know there are still issues.

WaDe03
10-24-2017, 09:37 PM
Lue says minutes tonight we're based on them being on a back to back so maybe that's why.

Kind of funny to think the Cavs vs Nets is actually an important game tomorrow.

Wade looked a lot more comfortable leading the 2nd unit. I do remember the end of big 3's reign (2014) when the Heat became borderline unwatchable bc of James and Wade not being able to mesh on the same line (boring a f too). They're the same alpha type of player in a sense, and moving Wade to the bench could really pay dividends in the long run for the Cavs.

Hopefully the knee injury isn't serious but this is one of the reasons I had a hard time ranking Davis as high as others. His teams don't win and he's constantly injured. He's the type of player that relies heavily on his athleticism. Once that athleticism declines, he's done.

Also, nice to see Aaron Gordon having a breakout season. After 3 years he was a bust. He appears to be playing to his potential this season.

It's two of the three reasons I don't rank him as high as others. 1) Struggles with the #1 attribute of a player - health. #2) Doesn't seem to maximize his teammates or teams potential. #3) Completely lost when it comes to team defense, and in year 6 at a prominent defensive position (especially with his size+athleticism), it's a major issue.

He is not a top-10 player in the NBA to me for those reasons.

lol, please

It took until the 32 second of the 3rd quarter for somebody other than Gobert to score a point this half for Utah. JJ finally got them 2 FT's.

They may or may not be missing Hayward.

JAZZNC
10-25-2017, 12:19 AM
Ugh, that third quarter was not pretty. That's gonna be a problem for the Jazz this year at times. Scoring isn't gonna come easy.

Good to see Blake balling out of control this year. I really thought he would look great without Paul there. Would be nice to see him be full strength for a full season.

And that dunk was sick....dunno what the hell Rudy was thinking, acted like he wanted to contest and then just cowered down???

They could be in the same trouble the Bulls were in with Derrick Rose. They paid an injury prone player a lot of money and now don't have much money to build a team with.

Then you look at the awful contract they gave to Jrue Holiday, plus the Cousins contract. They don't have a lot of money to spend now.

Outside of Cousins+AD today, Pelicans shot 33% from the field. Cousins+Tony only players with a positive +/-. Jrue Holiday averages 10/5/5 on 34% shooting playing 38 MPG but gets paid $25 million per season (highest paid on Pelicans). I get the frustration with Cousins+AD as solo players but at some point, people have to blame the ineffective overall team. Those are two top 15 players who have pathetic teammates.

Lmao, what? Why would they start Jeff Green? He's solid off the bench for energy and athleticism but he's a negative on every other category - primarily rebounding and defense.

Lebron and Wade have always taken away from each other on the court that is for sure. Both canít play to there strength when both are on the court. I like Wade playing the PG for the second unit. His confidence is higher when Bron isnít out there with him being the better much option in the exact same role.

What do you think of Wade so far? Haven't had a chance to watch a Cavaliers game.

The lineups that he has been in just have not been the right fit for his skill set at his age. Once they figure it out, he will be fine. He needs to be comfortable and Wade can still play very good ball. I like him on the 2nd unit a lot.

As apposed to James Jones Channing Frye, Deron Williams, Iman Shumpert or Derrick Williams? I mean, we replaced those guys with Wade, Rose, Green. I'm not as high on Green as I am high on how significant of an upgrade it was over was was previously there.

Jrue Holiday's contract is easily the worst in the league and one of the worst I've ever seen for such a bang average player. Because of that, and because they're paying AD $23M and he's avg. 67/82 games, it puts them in a tough spot. They don't have the money to build a proper team.

At the end of the day, Jrue Holiday has to step up and start playing to the standards of the contract. When Conley got his huge deal his level of play increased and he's one of the top 10 PGs in the league now. Jrue Holiday is nowhere near top 20.

Gotchya. But yeah, I mean, I'm not even sure he's better than any of them to be honest. If Green is a starter or playing starting minutes that team is not winning a title.

A lot of conflicting reports with that whole Fultz draining his shoulder thing. Now it's "minor discomfort and received a cortizone shot". Earlier it was that he could not lift his arm above his shoulder and had to have it drained. Those are polar opposites.
