Cp3 until proven otherwise

Harden has literally proven Paul otherwise. Remember that epic Clipper meltdown? Harden led his team to the western conference finals that year, a place Paul has yet to reach. Don't worry; Harden will take care of that.

Lol you literally brought up the one series that was won in part because the team benched Harden... yeah Dwight was more of a factor that series, that and the unfair matchup vs the spurs where cp3 was far more impressive against greater competition than harden has ever proven cp3 was better that post season too. Clippers meltdown isn't on one player, as that very melt down showed, this is such a team game that you could mount that kind of victory by benching your alleged superstar

I would take cp3 giannis and Davis over harden.

Probably butler and towns too honestly.

Yeah he's clearly declining.

Durant isn't much worse if he's worse at all.

KL is the best player in the league. he does it with a lot less and does it every possession on both ends

We can all pretend that we love 2-way players so much but at this point it has to be Harden. No one left has the overall impact that just his offensive game provides.

I'd contend Westbrook is worse on both ends than Harden (though debatable) and he went 5th so that's definitely not an obstacle for people.

KD proved he was the at least the second best player in the NBA Finals. If he does it again, he will rank #1.

KD was efficient+amazing in the Finals and in that discussion for sure. But, if you watched the entire playoffs there was 0 question as to who the Warriors best player was, and it was Curry. Stats backed it up. Even in the Finals, it was very clear who Cleveland was gunning on. KD was the benefactor, and he made them pay, but... he was the benefactor.

KD was the difference maker.

If Draymond was not suspended in Game 5 the prior year there is a very slim chance they lose that game + the series. THAT, was the difference maker. It actually shifted the entire landscape of the NBA.

But, yeah, Curry was the best player for the vast majority of the playoffs - it's not really a debate. KD crushed the Finals and was the most efficient player (ever, actually), but Curry enabled him, and was the best player in every prior series.

KD was the difference maker.

he ought to be when he wasn't even the defenses main concern in the slightest..

seriously, has a player of Durant's caliber ever had this much freedom? It's a stretch to say he is "just another guy", but defenses don't game plan for him, or load up around him at all. He basically plays 1-1. The greatest players in the game will all destroy the competition when they only have 1 guy to beat.

I get that you want so badly for LeBron to not be the best player in the world. But he is, has been for nearly a decade, and probably will be again this year.

What? lol I have Lebron #1...

All I'm saying is KD was the difference maker in that series and why the Warriors Curb Stomped the Cavs.

Westbrook donít get locked up like Harden has been in the past.

he was the benefactor of more freedom than anyone of his caliber has ever had. That is what he was.

Eh I don't know about that one. It's been half a decade since Westbrook has shot better than 42% from the field in the playoffs. In their series last year Westbrook shot 38% from the field and 26% from 3. Harden's had his issues as well, but Westbrook pretty consistently struggles to get his shots down when it's playoff time.

FlashBolt

Westbrook doesn't really get locked up by anyone. The issue with him is he's too stubborn to make the right play when it comes down to it. You could trap the paint and force him into taking a terrible shot and he'll take that challenge. That has more to do with Westbrook not changing that part of his game than the other player. The issue with Harden is his game doesn't change but he plays like a much lesser player. Not enough is being mentioned in regards to Harden being a choker.

Harden should have been ahead of Westbrook, but I'm fine with him here. The top 6 guys for me are a tier above everyone else in the league.

Lol. Still not taking away he was the major reason GS won so easily.

We'll get another round of Cleveland vs GSW
